I was a Vet Tech  for 15 years and have had experiances with them in the Clinic.They are a friendly breed originally bred to hunt bear.

I have heard of them....but I can't remember anything about em.  :-\ I'll have to look in my dog dictionary and get back to this thread... ;)

For those of you wanting to know more about Plott Hounds, it can be hard to find much info on them other than the breed standard.  I like this website for the history portion.

my angel has no problems not hunting despite having the hound in her  :P i think its cruel , "coon" hunting  :'( miss angel spends her days barking at birds and killing old shoes :)

I don't know anything about them, but there sure are a lot of them on petfinder!!!

the plott breed was originaly breed to hunt hogs not bear.  they came from germany and got there name from the man that brought them to the us.
