All Bear & I can say is lucky you. It is still in the 80s here and I'm getting seriously tired of the a/c 24-7. Good luck tiring the pupper out.

Sorry you feel frustrated.  Undecided Have you seen the pup? I know Landseer markings can include lots of white but some also are mostly black with white in cool places- like only on legs, chest, and tail. Check it out and who knows, you could fall in love at first sight! Smiley

Thanks for the update. I hope your girl feels like eating soon- she needs her strength.
23  BPO Off Topic Forum / Anything Non-Dog Related / Some zoo pics on: January 01, 2009, 03:22:14 PM
Today we went to the San Diego Zoo and had a BLAST! Here are some pics to share, including my gimpy husband in the motorized wheelchair (what an adventure that was with him at the the wheel).  Wink

I have also decided two things about my panda kidnap plan:

1. Stealing one from the zoo is not an option as there are too many people around & they are too tall- even the baby

2. My Bear is actually 10 lbs. more in weight than the 16 year old male panda so he could actually be considered a zoo animal too  Grin

I hope you like the pics and yes, I too thought the tiger was going to eat me with that scary direct eye contact.  Shocked

Bear howls every once in a while though it is usually not in his sleep. His snoring can wake the neighborhood however.  Wink

Love the stuffed Cirra's, Love Cirra going to the various rooms, and Love the idea that she is helping so many kids to become more confident. You two ladies are awesome! I wish Bear could go to school with me and help out  more often.

Ben, the big newf has the most halarious look like "dude have some self respect" when the cat is doing this. He clearly is not impressed, pretty funny.

I love it!

I took Koda to the vet yesterday for his second round of puppy shots, he is 3 months old exactly today. He was 30 lbs when he was weighted yesterday. When we first got him at 8 weeks he was 20. He's only gained 10 lbs in a month, is that normal?

Bear was exactly 32 lbs. at 3 months and was 100 by 1 year. After that though, his growing was like a snail. It took another 3 years to get to 150. Now at 6, after a neuter at 5 1/2, he is a large 180. Koda's normal and will turn out perfect!

I can't believe how big he is with the tummy problems and all. Bear says "thank you" to the Fumbs because he & his younger twin weigh the same and now I can't call him a fatty anymore.  Cheesy

Glad to see you back and see the handsome guy looking so good.

So cute! You need to snap a pic the next time they're in action together.  Smiley

There is this cat that lives across the way from us- a giant (like 30 lb.) white cat. We're on the 11th floor and he loves to walk the catwalk from his side of the building, across the middle, to our side. For months he'd just sit there and sun himself but in the last month or so has gotten brave and would come to our side. Well, he was crying outside my door one night on the balcony. I opened it and petted him- think it is a boy- and he's a love. So, he comes over and kinda hangs out to get love each night.

Two nights ago, he comes into the house and peeks around the corner at Bear. Michael & I stayed quiet just watching and as soon as he saw Bear he turned and ran out. Bear, of course, didn't even know he was in the house.  Roll Eyes Well, last night, he comes in again, goes around the couch and stares at Bear...and Bear stares back. No movement, no interest, nada. I swear, Bear is the laziest, most chill dog ever. The cat just stared and too but was interested so I think the two could become friends someday. If it happens again I'll have the camera ready.

I tried to get more info on the cat & let the owners know he has become a regular visitor but the weird neighbors who NEVER turn off their lights didn't answer. Oh well, at least the stalker kitty is nice right?  Smiley
