Thanks guys, it is great to have him home and back to his job as my shadow!! ;D
He is doing so good and I feel so relieved to see him back to his old self.

One more question and then I promise to stop!!
Should I just give him some time to gain his back naturally or should I try some satin balls??
I am kind of a big deal!

Did the vet give you any guidelines?  After Lucille had pancreatitis, she had to be on an extremely low fat/non fat diet.  I would think whatever they were giving him at the vet should probably continue for a couple of days and then ease him back  s l o w l y  back to his regular food.

YAY!!!! And a HUGE sigh of relief when I saw this post! I was worried about your boy! I'm so glad he's home and back to his old self.  :D
So what did the vet recommend as far as feeding? Did they have him on any special diet for recovery after all the troubles?

Welcome home Tonka!!!! :-*

They gave me a 6-pack of science diet cans to mix in with his regular food and antibiotics.  They did determine that the infection/virus was not a result of me changing his food, but that the change may have aggravated his symptoms while he was subclinical.  I am changing his portions from 2x a day to 3x (smaller amounts) a day to ease him back into eating...after 8 days I don't want him getting sick.
