A small-ish brag.....

Cowboy is on the first page of his breeder's website for his therapy work!!!  It is such an honor!  Not only because of the respect I have for her and her dogs, but because of how far Cowboy has come!  From being the drugged out, great sleeping Newfoundland to a wide awake care-giver, he's really fought his way back!  I know we're not supposed to talk about breeders here, but I just wanted to share!!!

Thanks...he is an amazing guy!  To survive what happened to him before we got him and to deal with epilepsy and the various health issues he's had shows he's made of tough stuff!  Besides the fact that he never, ever leaves my side if at all possible.  I've learned to type with his big ole head tucked under my armpit and I swear he's reading as I type!   ::)

Can't wait to see the pictures.  I too am a HUGE fan of Cowboy.  Hopefully we'll get to meet sometime in the near future.

Awesome!!!! That's no small brag!  That is wonderful work!  It is great for the people you visit, for cowboy and for you.  I really wish I had the time (and the right dog) to do something like this.

Thanks for posting those, EastJenn!!!  I could never have figured out how to get those from the breeder's web site to here!

And thanks for all the kind words about Cowboy!  Maybe because we've been through so much together, he's become my velcro dog!  He's just an angel.  He has NO idea how to do anything bad! 

Then there's Chester....ano ther story all together!! ;)

 I really wish I had the time (and the right dog) to do something like this. 

I had to wait a long time to be able to do therapy work as well.  It doesn't take long, but having the right dog IS key!  I'd also like him to get involved in kids' reading programs (where the kids read to dogs and adults aren't allowed to make corrections...)  I think that would be so much fun...and Chester could be good at that!  He loves to have people talk to him.  I just don't know if Chester is calm enough yet to pass the TDI test!!! ::) ::) ::) ::)

AWWWW that isn't a small-ish brag, that is AWESOME.  Cowboy is soooooo adorable.  And those pupper pics.  OMG I think that is photoshopped, using some kind of newfangled photoshop cuter than life feature.
