who's guarding who?
« on: June 18, 2005, 09:21:30 pm »
My son loves to "guard" with our rottie.  He barks just like her!  It's so cute to see him
growing up with dogs and learning to care for them!

I see the pic okay and I love it!  That is fit for framing!  I just love Rottie butts :-X.  Teaching your little boy to care for and learn about pets is such a life changing thing and he will be better for it as an adult.  And by the looks of it, he'll be very protected along the way!

I can see the pic and it is adorable, I love how children get to grow up and learn about respect for the dogs. Jennifer is now 5 and Galahad is a little more than 16 weeks, and they are the best friends. Every morning he sits in the bed waiting for her to wake up, if she sleeps a bit too long, he just cant wait, so he starts to poke her and pull her hair a little with his teeth, it is sooooo cute to see, and if I wake her up, it is "moooooom" and a grupmy attitude, if Galahad wakes her up, she wakes up with a smile and grab his neck and gives him a big hug and is ready to play.  :D

It is funny though, your pic I went awwwwww how cute, and hubby went awwwwww what a pond hehe

Oh that's so cute.
I think most Rotties are real big sweethearts.
Too bad many people can't see them that way.   ???

Hooray!
I'm so glad that most of you can see the picture! I still can't :)
I feel awfully darn lucky to be a witness to the friendship
between my son and our dogs.  Yep, it's a big pond!
I'm never more than one step behind that little guy when
he ventures down the yard.  Since we have invisible fence-when the
dogs stop so does he!  Works great!  I loved all of your responses!
It made me feel so good tonight!

Rotts are so good with kids.  That's a great and inspirational picture.  I love it and both subjects are adorable. :)

That is Adorable!! lol my hubby & I dont have children yet... However we have seen our rott w/ kids. He's a nut!! lol he loves kids & doesnt let them wander too far away from the "mommy & daddy" zone. it's like he herds em up & closes em in lol he just slightly nudges their hindies w/ the side of his head to get them to turn around lol it's so cute to watch him... I know there was one time I was sitting in my friends living room & all of a sudden I hear the kids start screaming & come running through full blast to the kitchen... then I see a rottie w/ tongue out side of the mouth trotting after them... then about 30 seconds later I see a rottie running full throttle through the living room & bringing up the lead was 2 kids cackling behinds him. they were playing chase! it went on for about 5 mins & I'm not sure who ended up passing out first the dog or the kids lol
