Minor UTI or pre-UTI clues?
« on: February 28, 2007, 04:40:41 pm »
Rosie has had frequent UTIs since she was a puppy. Since we've had her (last 6 months), she's only had one UTI episode and since then we've put her on a urinary diet and have been giving her urine acidifier, cranberry tablets, and her usual vitamin C.

Since last night though, she's had to pee twice each time we let her out. This is not nearly as severe as her UTI episode where she tried to pee a dozen times in different spots with each trip outside and having accidents inside the house.

So is this a clue to an approaching UTI episode? Has anyone with UTI problems experienced this sort of pre-UTI behavior? Is there anything else we could be doing to avoid a full-blown UTI? Or could it be something else apart from a UTI?

my dogs go at least 2 or 3 times every time i let them out.  is she fixed?  if she's not, could it be that she's about to go into heat?
