Pet Food Recall

I just wanted to post this in case someone didn't see this news article. Menu Foods is recalling all of their pet foods sold under a variety of names. The first link is the article. The second link is for the Menu Food recall list.

Holy crap that's a lot of food to recall... :-[ I had been feeding my foster kitties a few of those brands but everybody seems fine... :-\

oh no! I need to tell Chastidy about this! I believe she (well her mom) feeds their Rotties Nutro Natural Choice:(

ok so maybe I should finish reading the whole thing before I freak out... They feed the kibble nutro natural choice... but I will still tell them about it :D I really need to go to bed.

Perhaps as a safety precaution, at work we also pulled Science Diet, Iams and Eukaneuba as they are also packaged by the same company.

Luckily it is only the canned and pouched foods, as I feed my crew Nutro and just bought 2 more bags of food.

The CNN article said that it does effect some Iams and Eukanuba products, b/c they contract out to Menu Foods for some wet food.

it is really bad.  one of the girls in my training classes owns a GSD that has been at the vet for the past 2 weeks from her kidneys failing and not wanting to eat....guess what they were feeding her?  the nutro wet puppy packets b/c they were trying to put some more weight on her....luckily she didn't die and they got her off that food.

Wow, that's really scary stuff! That list of food was soooo long, I wonder how many dogs and cats out there have been affected?   :(
