Hi, welcome to BPO! My parents have a Rhodesian Ridgeback mix that is one of the sweetest and smartest dogs that I've ever met (she's 16 now). We've laughed for years that if she had opposable thumbs and a human voice box she could take over the world. I have a Golden and 2 Pyrs and I've had 2 other Pyrs over the years. Though I've never met a Rhody/Pyr mix, I would guess that it could be a very sweet & smart pup. One caution, Pyrs are wonderful, gentle dogs but secure fencing is an absolute must with them as they will roam for miles to guard what they are bred to think is their territory. Is this your dog?
