Babysitting a big paw!
« on: October 31, 2007, 08:09:13 pm »
Hey, I just found out that I get to babysit our friend's Great Dane, Thunder for a week!  Jeff is going to be away for a week hunting bear and our friend Dallas is going with him and needs someone to take care of Thunder.  I'm so excited but I know zilcho about Danes.

Can you guys give me a crash course about what to expect from having a Dane around full time?  I know how he is when Dallas brings him by for a visit, but he says Thunder is a completely different dog when he's home.

I'm excited and not excited at the same time...  Excited to haveThunder here and not excited because I won't even get to talk to Jeff for the week he's gone   :'(

I've experienced the Dane leans already.  He has done it to me a few times.  I don't fall over though because Thunder is thoughtful enough to step on my feet to keep me up.  I end up with sore toes, but at least I don't fall over.  LOL!

I have to admit, I'll sleep easier knowing that I have two big paws in the house while Jeff is away...
