Raise a Glass to Voodoo this New Years
« on: December 30, 2007, 07:05:55 pm »
It is with great sadness I relay the news that this morning my beloved Great Dane Voodoo left this world and passed on to the next.  She lived a fantastic life over the last 12 plus years.  She will be missed by many but no more than Duke and Butler.  Many of my pictures of Voodoo are not digital but I have included some that are.

Thanks fo all the kind words.  Even on the saddest days there is always joy with dogs.  I was walking the boys a couple hours ago.  We were approaching a large park by my house and they are setting up for what must be a family friendly new years fest.  There was a team of draft horses getting prepared to take kids on slegh rides.  Mr Butler, now one year old and closing in on 200 pounds, had never seen another animal that he was not bigger than close up.  He took three steps to side as we walked by the team and stared them up and down trying to figure out what to make of the large creatures. :)

I'm so sorry about Voodoo. She was gorgeous. I'll make sure to toast to her tonight.  :'(

I'm sure Mr. Butler will be looking for that "monster" there from now on.  ;)

Voodoo is gorgeous - and obviously very spoiled (how many mattresses do you have?) and well-loved, especially to have made it to the ripe old age of 12. My Oasis died around New Year's 2 years ago and I can attest to how comforting and supportive everyone here is. I'll be saying a prayer that Oasis meets Voodoo at the bridge to help guide his way until you meet him.
