Looking for good campground in Northern California

We're planning a camping trip for August and wondered if anyone had any recommendation s for good campgrounds in Northern California?  We like to hike and fish, plus the dogs like to swim!  If anyone has been to or knows of good campgrounds, I'd really love to know about them!!
