Neo Mastiff For Adoption
« on: August 08, 2005, 08:03:25 am »
I have a neo that I must give up for adoption
due to various circumstances.

Female Neopolitan Mastff, four 1/2 years old, dark steet grey, approx 160lbs.
She is a pure breed without papers.
Surprisingly great with children and relatively obedient.
She constantly craves affection and attention.
She has not been spayed and is in good health.
My options for her are limited, but she is my baby and MUST
go to a dog loving family who has the patience and love for this breed of
dog, and whom will provide the affection and she wants.
I need her to go to a loving family, for which she comes free to you. I
can't give her to the humane society as I can't see her go
through that torture.
What more to say about her;
She is great with children. Our daughter is 8 and our Neo treats her well
and does not play rough.
She is protective of her surroundings and her family. She craves attention,
loves to cuddle up with us. She has no formal training
but she listens and obeys relatively well.  I am in Toronto.
Finall note - if you are interested in breeding her, she entered first
stage heat on august 3rd or 4th, she will be ready for mating first of
next week, aug 14th.

She is very beautiful.  If I didn't have 2 dogs already I would very much love to take her. I live in Canada as well but the other side of the country. In Edmonton. Is it an emergency for you to find a home for her?? Have you thought of maybe getting someone to foster her until the perfect home is found?? That way she gets to stay with a family and they get to choose where she goes. Let me know if you need anyhelp. I know that there is a few of us members that are from Canada, and some in the Ontario region. They might be will to foster her, if you can't find a home, and need to place her. There is many great rescues out there that don't have shelters they only have foster homes, have you thought of that option? Let me know if I can help you with anything??

To the best of my knowledge she is good with other dogs.
When we are out walking she makes no bother with other ones.
Friends have been over with theirs and they play around well.

Passing her over to a foster family would not be a problem
at all for me.  It is not an emergency to give her up other than
the fact she drives my mom up the wall she despises the drooling
and wants her out.

I haven't spoken with Derek in about a week or so, but last I did he was working on getting her UTD on her shots and all. I was considering taking her, but being in the US, she'll have to have everything UTD to come across the border.

Just a little bitty update for ya!

Have you contacted Neapolitan Rescue?  There are a few right there in Canada who will pick her up and find a very good family for her.

I really wish I could take her, but she is just so far from me. I hope you find someone, I'm sure she is a great dog.

Hey. Just wanted to let you know that I was working with Derek (the owner of the Neo) and then he just stopped responding to me. I told him that if he could get her UTD on her shots, I would take her. He was "planning" on doing that, and getting back to me, and then I just never heard from him again. I e-mailed him a few times and he didn't respond, so I don't know...maybe he couldn't get the shots, or maybe he sold her to a breeder or something.

Just wanted to share!
