Hello to all! We are new to BPO, found it through a co-worker. I have loved reading all of your stories and looking at your pics. Had trouble loading a pic of my girl, but finally got it to work today.  Smiley Thanks for sharing all of your wisdom. My dane, Sparrow, is almost 4 years old and is our "baby." It is so comforting to hear that many of you have the same struggles as we do. Our biggest is that Sparrow is anti-social. She LOVES everyone human, but is terrified of other dogs. We have been taking her to the dog park, trying to break her of it, but it's turing out to be quite a slow process. Any tips? I'll try to load more pics soon. Thanks!

Hello and welcome!
My advice is just try and try again.  Perhaps one on one with another dog would be better at first......... ..and a small dog at that since most danes think they are the size of a cat.  Or in Gunther's case, a basset hound.  Roll Eyes  Roll Eyes

My name is Chris and my crew is listed below.

When I got Athena she was terrified of EVERYTHING! I started taking her to a doggie daycare so she would not have to stay at home alone all day. She wasn't to crazy about it at first but after about a week or 2 boy did she come out of her shell. She is the most out going girl now. Just loves everyone and every dog she meets. Good luck and keep trying she will come around.

Thanks for all the great ideas! She seems to think that anything with 4 legs is out to get her, even when other dogs approach with wagging tails. We will keep working on it. All of your pups are gorgeous! I love seeing pictures of other danes, they are all so unique. Have a great day!
