One of the few things I remember about high school biology class was talking about genetics, particularly tongue rollers in humans. Some can roll tongue and others can't based on genetic make up. The class had to sit around sticking our tongues out at each other. For some reason they talked about dogs & cats use of tongues. I knew one drank lapping up the other lapping down but couldn't remember which was which.

That is so interesting. I had no idea dog scooped the water under their tounge. I always assumed it was the opposite

I have seen this before and was amazed--it seems counter-intuitive to drink that way, but obviously it works!
