I only wish they would have posted the dog's breed in the article or video.  It is obviously a pit bull or pit mix.  It would have been nice for the media to give them some good press for a change.

I logged on to post this but you beat me to it.   

Here is the article I found.  The headline and story states it was a pit bull, so at least the positive press is getting to some people.  Quite a lot actually.  I found the headline on AOL.  Thank goodness he'll survive his wounds.  It's an awesome dog that will protect his family like that.
