Our beautiful new (temporary) foster dog!

We had decided for sure, no more fosters. I have gotten way way way too attached to Sunshine Bear so I said, no more. I can't stand getting so attached. It is breaking my heart. Then I got the call... a Dane in need... he just had heartworm treatment... he needs a cool safe place just for a few days after he gets out of the vet... please....

So here he is, his name is Ivan. I have to keep him separated from my boys, but that's ok with Ivan and Will (who have become best buds very quickly) because Ivan's crate is down in Will's workshop. They are down there right now, a couple of guys hanging out, they are probably drinking beer together and talking about women!

Poor guy looks like he had a home ear-crop by somebody  but he is the sweetest guy in the world, full of love!!!

He is going to stay with us just until the weekend, since we are leaving town on Sunday. But we get a few good days to hang out with him! Since he just had heartworm treatment we have to keep him pretty calm, but he sure wants to run around and play!!! He is awesome. More and more I just love the Dane personality!!

What a sweetheart!! 

One of the danes staying at our house just finished her heartworm treatment.  I think she needs one more clean test and she's good to go to get spayed (NOT a fun time when she went into heat last month with their other male dane)

I'm sure he will find a new home no problem.  He's gorgeous.

You guys are cracking me up! 
I'm just glad we are leaving town so he HAS TO find a new foster while we are gone. Someone is scheduled to come and pick him up on Friday and we will part ways and I will wish him luck! It's WILL you guys should be concerned about! When I am upstairs I can hear him down in the workshop talking to Ivan in that smoochie voice... "you are such a GOOD BOY Ivan!! Come here you cutie pie! Give me a kiss!!!"...

  Can you believe that mean ol Rebekah is doing that to Will? Separating that poor man from his new luvie-wuvie? Mean, MEAN Rebekah!

Danes really are special! They deserve the world, it is so so unfortunate how many of them come up in rescue.  Who knows what this guy has been through but he is so sweet to us, and he has the most innocent eyes I have ever seen.
