I've belonged to book clubs. We set a time frame 4 to 8 weeks per book with a set # of pages or chapters to read each week. We got together for an hour (usually turned into 2 each week.) You could set a chat time too.
We composed a list of books, (we used Mortimer Adler's list but you can come up with any,)  narrowed it down and voted on the books to use for the year.

I do not have time now, but maybe in the spring?

Keep me posted on the goings on.

Hey Guys,   Lets do a poll for our BPO Book Club books for the year.
My Suggestions are:  The Other End Of The Leash by Patricia B McConnell,  The Dog Listener by Jan Fennell.  Please list your books and we will take a poll.  That way we can all purchase our books and be ready to read and chat each month.

Hi guys!

Great idea, count me in too.  I am reading If Bones Would Rain from the Sky and Dogs of Babel at the same time.  Babel was also recommended by someone on this web site.  So I don't know if you want to add that to the poll list?

Thanks,
Anita & the 3 Newfies from NJ

I'm game. I love to read, although, I'm not sure I'll have time to read anything after trying to keep up with my little h*ll on wheels:) I'd definitely be up for it though.

Let me know.  I am getting a Master's degree in English, so I have plenty on my plate with that, but if you can come up with some good books that I haven't read, I would love it.
