Bad Breath?????
« on: March 27, 2006, 03:59:47 pm »
Suddenly Kayzer has really bad breath. Not just your normal doggy breath but really yucky! :P
I just wondered if there could be any medical reason for this??? I recently changed his food to a Giant Breed Holistic food and I thought that might be the reason.
Does this seem normal? Or not? Do 6mth old puppies usually get bad breath?
Thanks
Carole

Maybe he's gone from 'puppy breath' to 'big dog breath'?  Maybe the change in food would have something to do with it...is there garlic in his new food?

I would think he's too young for an abcessed tooth....okay, now you've reached the very furthest reaches of my knowledge.  Sorry!!

Thanks Liz:
It is confirmed then! It has been really bad in the last few weeks so I am pretty confident, that must be what it is! My husband doesnt even want him in the truck anymore because his breath stinks up the whole cab. LOL
He is only on his second 44LB bag so I think I will go back to the regular Giant Breed adult but skip the holistic, and see if his breath improves.
I was worried there was something really wrong. Im quite relieved now. So Thank you very much.
