Need Help - Ellie has an upset tummy!
« on: April 20, 2006, 07:58:39 pm »
Greetings Y'all!

It was a long night.... so I hope this makes sense...

Ellie woke me up to go out about ever hour or so last night...

She encountered her very first frog (thankfully he hopped away to safety)on her midnight outing.... so I figured her persistance to go outside throughtout the night was to look for her new "friend." In a word I though she was just being a pain (mommy feelings of guilt start here).

I guess I slept through one of her attempts to wake me because when she was finally successful I discovered the real reason she wanted to go out so often... by the mess left on the carpet.... Yep, my poor Ellie was having tummy problems.

My question is...

what do y'all suggest for treatment?
should I give her kaopectate? If so, how much?
Or is this a job for slippery elm?

She wasn't lathargic this morning... and appeared bummed when I didn't feed her breakfast...

What do y'all think?

Thanks!!

Sorry I can't help on the slippery elm or the keo...I have never used them.

I do hope she is feeling better.Maybe she just ate something yuckky outside.

Poor Ellie! You could try slippery elm. I've also heard that pumpkin works too.
