Chester's grown up

We went to watch an Australian Shephard agility test yesterday and I took Chester to see if he could get it in to his head to give it a go (answer:  NOPE!).  A friend took some photos of him and in looking at them this morning, I realized my wee baby puppy is now a real, live, grown-up Newf!

Chester is so handsome.  I have a special place in my heart for newfs...they are so dog gone cute.  I know what you mean about not realizing they are so grown up.  I was pretty scared of Rotts when we got Pookie.  We moved next door to these people who had two HUGE Rotty's and I was scared of them.  I would think, I hope our little Pookie never gets scary looking like that.  One day, he went over to the fence, and he was towering over them!  My little bitty Pookie!
It's funny to me that you noticed it in a photo, how grown up Chester is.  To me, newfs always look so dignified, regal almost, and when I look at Chester and Cowboy, I see them as all grown up, but they will always be little poofball puppies in Mamma's mind's eye!

Chester looks Great!! What a good looking dog!

Doggylover, I had to laugh when you said Newfs looks so regal and dignified, and then I looked up at Shawna's avatar of Sadie with her head in the cat tunnel  ;D

It's funny....I do it with my kids too!  Somehow, in my brain, they are all stuck at least a decade + younger.  Now, when I see pics of them, it takes a second to recognize all those young adults!  I never realize how big the Newfs are until I see them in a photo next to people.  Chester is still my little lap dog!!!

I also don't recognize that old lady in the mirror, either!!!! ;)  :D ;D

Brandon ROFL um Sadie was just temporarily insane!  I'm sure that is very uncommon for her. 

Yeah, I don't recognise the old lady in my mirror either.  Thank God everyone around me is aging just like I am, my husband's eyesight is getting so bad, he thinks I look like when we met. The trick is, don't get too close to hubby when there is full on light, from a distance, there are no wrinkles just general blur!

He really is a gorgeous guy!  Has he been behaving himself like an adult too lately?  Staying in his yard and being such a good boy?  I haven't noticed any naughty Chester stories lately so I'm guessing he's growing up in more ways than one.  Either that or you got the fence up and ruined his fun ;)

Truly!!!  Thank the Lord for small favors!!!  I can't imagine how couples do it with one is decades younger or older!  AWFUL!!
