The last couple of weeks, Rosie had been on Deramaxx for some inflammation on her right knee. We noticed no clear improvement, as she was still getting up off the floor with a weird hobble and looked like she wasn't putting as much weight on it. She was however able to walk normally after a few 'practice steps' and even bucked and ran like her usual self. Today she suffered an accident as she was rushing to get back in the house for dinner. She slipped and has since been hobbling really badly, as in not putting ANY weight on her right leg. We are so concerned. The vet called us back luckily, about the Deramaxx not working, and we told him what happened. He told us to bring her in first thing tomorrow for them to look into it, and then perhaps refer us to a specialist in Dallas. I am so worried. I know there are great Newf injury endings (go Fumble!) but it doesn't keep us from being so sad about her pain and discomfort.
Just wanted to share that I guess. I'll keep you guys posted on the vet's diagnosis.
