Anything Non-Dog Related / At Last I Caught Her!! (sorry long)
« on: April 21, 2009, 02:57:15 am »
For 3 years I have been trying to catch this poor little kitty. She has presented me with 2 litters. The first litter 2yrs ago I found homes for. Last year the litter of 2 I could not so I kept them. I did manage to grab her off of my deck but she bit completely through my hand and my one finger still to this day doesn't work quite right. Now here we go again. She brought 2 little babies (eyes not open) and put them under my deck behind a table I have for potting plants. She did this on friday, so saturday while she was gone I put the babies on a small blanket and put them back under the table. While I was out with the girls later that evening I could see she was laying on the blanket feeding the babies. So sunday while she was out I put the babies and the blanket in a cat carrier. So later I went out and she was in there so I just closed the carrier and now I finally have her. I moved the carrier to a super large bird cage I have and put in alittler pan and food dishes. She is doing well and taking care of her kids. I will leave her there till the babies are weaned and get her spayed and release her back to the wild. Our local no kill shelter will do the spay & keep her kids. YEA!!!

He is such a cute little guy! I love the show pics of him in action - so alert. I know I will be able to watch him in a really big show on TV here someday by the way he is going. OK big man now go find that mud puddle you deserve it!  :-*

I must say I did think about 1 of those. I had an old CJ7 years ago and it sure was kid friendly when it came to cleaning it out!

 ;D ;D :D :D :D :D

Awwww come on we all know you have "super powers"!

I would love to be a fly on the wall at the vets office  ;)

Love mine too! I was washing out the filters the other day and Athena the brat grabbed it and shredded it before I could get it from her so I'm waiting in a pool of fur till the filter comes in  :(

Absolutely!! I got Aurora at age 5 just alittle over a month ago and she was bonded tight after the first week. I agree that some rescues know the bad side of life and really appreciate it when they have it good.

It is really ugly. I like my old ford explorer but it's time is coming to an end here soon & I would like something where the back seats fold down to make more room for the girls but it has to be good in snow. Just don't see too much out there I like. Those features with the ramp and such would be great to have.

The only other thing I could add is since you walk dogs is it possible to take her with you so she could get used to other dogs and get some exercise too?

I'm sure we could send some of our crew to do the digging in record time!  ;D He does seem like he is enjoying his job! He's a good spokesperson for pyrs everywhere!!!

I had 6 kitties when I got Athena. I put up a gate in the kitchen entry so they can have their food in the kitchen and in the laundry room off of the kitchen for their litter. Just left them alone and everything went fairly smooth all by itself.

General Board for Big Dogs with Big Paws / Major Poop Incident!!!!
« on: April 14, 2009, 07:33:34 am »
I'm sure some of you can relate so sit back and enjoy the story.  ;) :D ;D
Last night we had a major poop incident. I have a small bucket I line with a plastic grocery bag to do poop patrol. I had one pile left to go up in the side yard, had the back yard all done. There was some really soupy ones if you know what I mean too. Anyway by the time I heard the girl galloping towards me as I was all bent over scooping they ran passed me upsetting the poop bucket flinging poop all over me and them. I had to pick up all the poop, bag and such. Then I had to wipe off all the paws & tails then wash my extremely poopy hands and I just stopped by the washer and dumped my clothes in. If someone had been video taping me we would have won the Funny Home Video’s $10,000 and probably the $100,000 hands down!!
