Since you will be living alone, I would suggest a dog older 1 to 2 yrs so it is already house broke to make your life easier. Good luck with your choice!

I am here to say I have raised both and the only difference in the begining is you can give your fur kids away and people won't talk about you and it is legal! Be consistant and fair and follow your gut. You know you don't let your dogs get away with things so don't let the kids do it either. It really is the tuffest job but the most rewarding one you'll ever have. Good luck and Congrats!!

I agree with Patrick, I would look for another opinion from a cancer specialist but keep up with the holistic treatments while I was looking. I would have thought A&M would have given you more options or at least performed some more tests to give you some real proof to what they were saying. God Bless you both, you will be in our prayers.

Oh Audrey.  I'm so very very sorry.  I know life's been handing you all sorts or hard times lately, but I want you to know that you're in my thoughts.  Sleep tight sweet Elvis, you're still my favourite goat.  :-* :'( :'(

Just not fair  :'( :'(

I know the tiles you are talking about. I have them in my entryway. They look and feel like real wood but are self stick tiles. That is where my 2 do their happy to see me dance when I get home and they have no signs there are dogs on them. We have hauled both my sons stuff in and out that way when they both moved to school and back and on to their own homes & still no marks. Lots of snow and mud tracked in as well. I do have a dyson and I use it on that floor as well but I'm sure your shop vac will take care of the tiles nicely.

Never been a battle in my house, cause I LIKE them on the couch with me. Bed too!!! Though I'm going to have to get a MUCH larger couch soon, LOL!

I bought a leather sofa because I knew I was going to get a great dane (or 2  ;D) and I knew it would be easier to clean. Now I think I will need to get a queen size bed!!!
