First of all, YAY!! I heart Obama.

Holly, you are dead on. I was constantly torn between the candidates for the first part of this campaign. John McCain is a good man, even Joe Biden said so. He really respects McCain and had been on his side several times in the past, but he said McCain has just changed.  However, I don't think even the old McCain would elicit the radical change that Obama will push for to make this country fresh and productive again.

Go Obama!! I'm so happy this morning. And, I am so excited to be able to witness the first black (or half-black) president in my lifetime!!

Rosie's a big Barack fan too. Every time we mention his name, she tilts her head in recognition since it sounds like we're saying 'Walk'.

I opened this post mainly out of curiosity and did not plan to reply. Then I thought, what does that say about my character and convictions if I am unwilling to share them simply because they are not popular?

Suffice it to say that I personally am not pleased with the election outcome. But, I am so grateful that I live in a country where I have the right and precious, precious freedom to have and express my own opinions. :D

No mater what we all feel, we all love our BPO's!

I'm not affiliated with a party either, but I am conservative in my views. That comes from being raised in an Air Force family and then spending my "early" years in California in the 60's. LOTS of "hippy"ness.

My decisions about anybody, my president or my butcher, are based on character. And the experience they bring to the table.

We will all manage to get along. We always do.

Can you explain why?

Many Many reasons.  Not necessarily being the number one reason is the share the wealth idea.  It's socialist...an d working hard to get ahead and save money only to have to give it away to people who didn't earn it sucks.  People who sit around doing nothing get a piece of the pie they didn't earn.
he talks about cutting taxes and more insintives.  well that money has to go somewhere.  where is he going to get the money to make up for less taxes?  Make more money?  then he's going to spend more...cut taxes yet spend more? not possible.
he wants to create jobs.  Every poilitician does.  where is he going to get those?  make more?
All politicians make promises they can't keep.   He's inexperienced and wants to just pull out of a war without winning it...that makes us look like whimps and less like the world leader we have been for a long time.
I'm already sick of seeing all the crying over this  making "history".
there are many more reasons that I won't go into.

Just pulling us out of the war can pay for MANY things and if we look like whimps...who cares as long as we can have our social security back and housing market stabilized people will be much happier.
I have been counting money for a several "medium" businesses and I tell you they can share, yes they CAN! LOL by paying a little more taxes instead of us, medium class  :) Did you really enjoyed the last 6 years?
