Isn't there a rescue thar handles the Georgia area?  Or contact any of the other rescues - I guess. Poor baby - I would take him but I am getting my deaf dane next week - it would be too much

Willow is a so so cuddler.  She does sometimes and other times if you try to cuddle with her she lets out a sigh and moves.  But she always sleeps on a bed (either mine or my daughters)  and always sits on the couch.  In fact if you are sitting in her spot she just climbs on top of you.  I will admit to the bed shaking puppy dreams - that is totally true.  Willow is my 1st dane and I love them.  I will always have a dane - my favorite breed by far.

I had Willow tacked during her spay.  She also had her hernia repaired at the same time.  The whole thing was about 700.00 and her recovery was normal.  The surgery she had done involved lasers - to minimize bleeding.  I would not want to have a surgery just to specifically do a gastropexy.  Now that I am getting Polar and he has already been neutered - I will have a non-tacked dane.  Unless for some reason he needs to have Abd. surgery he will stay untacked - but it worries me.

I'm Timmie - Willow is my 18mo female dane, Irie is my 6 yr old Pom, and Gunner is my 11 yr old Pom.  I am also getting ready to add Polar who is an 8mo male deaf dane.

I am so glad I read this post.  I thought it was just my bad dog - she loves to ask in and then run away.  It makes me crazy.  She also will ask out and when you get up to open the door she turns around and sits on the couch.

I wish we could - it is just so stressfull.  It has been about a year and a half and it is not better.  I am worried that oneday Gunner is going to do his lunging, snapping, snarling, bad a%$ dog routine and get flung across the room again.  I know - I feel bad.

I have trained willow qith a crate and worked well.  Make sure that the crate is only big enough for her to stand up and turn around.  Too much room in a crate is a bad thing

So far so good - My friend comes back into town today and maybe Wednesday or Thursday I will bring Gun Gun over to see if it is a match.  I hope so - Also crossing my fingers that Willow will behave herself when she meets her new Big Little Brother.

We are so excited about Polar!!  I will take tons of pictures to post.
