General Board for Big Dogs with Big Paws / Re: Hubby cooked dinner.....

I made it through dinner, lol.  I just didn't ask for seconds.  He's ok in the kitchen normally if I'm watching him.  I guess I can't leave him alone though.  We've also been through the laundry thing over and over.  I even made a list of what gets washed with what and what temp. and what to add, ie. bleach, oxy powder, etc.  I think he just chooses to be dense sometimes to get out of it.  I'm the type of person that just says, never mind, I'll do it myself. :)

I love seeing doggie piles.  It's cute when they're puppies, it's even cuter when they're full grown. :D

Best Western takes dogs too.  I stayed there with Raven when visiting my parents.  They were very nice to us.  There are quite a few hotels and motels that take dogs now.  I hope you find one you like. :)

I don't even want to get started on what he does to the laundry. lol. ;D  I read an article once in a parenting magazine written from a man's point of vue about the fine nuances of faking it.  "It" being dumb.  And they say men aren't that smart. :D

and I think I'm going to be sick.

Hubby thought he would help by making dinner while I ran a few errands.  I explained to him what to do and he cooked while I was out.  Well, I took one bite and I needed to wash it down with a gallon of water.  I had told him to saute garlic in a little butter and then add the meatballs, (meatball stroganoff).  His dumb butt thought he'd take a shortcut and poured a TON of garlic salt in the butter instead.  I've never added more than a pinch of salt to an entire meal my whole life.  It was like taking a bite into a salt block.  I know he was trying to help, and I tried to be nice about it....but OMG it was awful. :P

I'm so jealous.  I've always wanted to live there in a sleepy little town where everbody knows everybody and you get snowed in for the winter and have acres and acres for the dogs to run.  We have to go to Germany instead.  Where it snows mud, and everyone hates americans.  Well at least I can take my dogs anywhere I go.

You'll have to send lots of pics when you find your house up there.  And of course, I'll be coming to visit. :)

I know you're probably just anxious to see how big your Saint gets, but she's got A LOT of growing time left.  Don't rush her.  As others have said, if she grows too quick, she'll have problems later on.  She's only 5 months old and an impressive 57lbs.  Plenty of time left to get over 90lbs.  But if she somehow didn't get over 90lbs, what did you mean by you would want to get another one?  Would you get rid of her? ???

Blue could be a blue merle dane. :D

I was thinking the same thing Babs.

She might be big or she might be on the smaller size.  Are you showing her?  Are you concerned with reaching weight goals for that reason?  I don't even know what the average weight is for a female saint, but if she's just a pet, just love her.  Hey, it worked for Clifford. :D

How long have you had Mr. Grey now?  Raven was like that when we got Lily.  But she's perked up a lot.  Do you ever spend one on one with Zeus?  That might help.   :)

OK, this is how you can tell we're parents.  Me and my husband are sitting there playing with our 3 year old and one of her animals is Blue from Blue's Clues.  We start discussing what type of dog Blue is.  We have no clue.  Maybe a hound?  Maybe a Dane puppy?  So my husband wants me to ask all of you what breed you think Blue is.  Feel free to make fun of us just for asking this question. :)
