General Board for Big Dogs with Big Paws / Duty needs help!
« on: December 19, 2005, 05:52:05 pm »
Hi to all,
I have been asked by Duty's dad Jesus, if someone can email him his screen name and password. He wants to post a picture of Duty but cannot remember what his screen name and password are. He emailed me to ask for him, so if there is anyone out there who can help him, just send him the info at his email address you have on file. I haven't been around because my pc crashed in august and I am just now getting back online. I have 5000 messages so I will still be gone for a while, have to answer all of them. Jesus was the first in line so please help him if you can.
Thank you,
Kelly and the Jazzdog

Great Logo!
Please if you do T's please get BIG T's for BIG Owners, I would love to have any tees with Big Dogs on in in a size 4x is this asking to much? I always look for the larger sizes but never find anything larger than a XL. Not all of us are little! lol

Just reading this makes me think of my beloved Rotty Shadow. I lost him
April of 2002 and I think about him everyday. Marit I know how empty life is without and how full it is with a special dog. Memories are always there for you to see just close your eyes and smile. You did what was right for your family and Buffy.

I know they have feeling too! It is so hard to explain you will be back! I think it is harder on us then them sometimes. We just feel as thought we have just left them alone, with nothing! Dogs seem to adjust rather quickly to any situation. God put a lot of thought in to this marvalous creature don't you think?

Rottweiler Discussions / Jazzy comes home!!!
« on: July 09, 2005, 06:57:40 pm »
Hi Everyone,
Well we got back late friday night, it was to late to pick up my Jazzgirl. Boo Hoo!!!! First thing this morning I went to get her. She was happy but not like I expected. So we got in the car and she was just normal Jazz. I get her out and she lunges for the gate to get in the yard, odd I thought? I open the gate take off the leash and she makes a beeline for her favorite pee spot! Where she pees for at least a good minute then to the next pee spot, and again for a minute. I think she held it for the entire time we were gone. I opened the front door and we go in then she goes bonkers just jumping and whimpering, crying like I have never seen her do. I guess she wanted to greet me at home where she feels safe. She is of course VERY CLINGY now but I expected that. We went to bed when I got home and she got right up with me so I could put my arm around her while we took a nap. She was so tired and so was I, but she was sound asleep in 2 seconds and snoring away. She only awoke if I took my arm away from her. So now all we are waiting for is Daddy to come home from work and I guess it will start all over again. Mario had to be at work early so he hasn't seen her yet. He called to see if she was home yet, and this from the guy that didn't really care for dogs in the house, when we married 25 years ago. It was a rough trip and so tramatic for us, but Jazzy makes up the lose, with all the love she can give. :-* Thanks to all of you for the nice comments and concern, I am very lucky to have found you guys, at least ya"ll understand.

Thanks Tina and newflvr, I know the home coming will be harder on me than Jazz I am sure. But I have to go to be there for my family, we have been married for 25 years on the 4th. Mario's mom was closer to me than my own mom, she was an incredable lady I will miss her terribly. Mario has the BEST family, I am so lucky to have married into such a wonderful tribe. So I will get back to you all as soon as I can.

PS. Tina I have no doubt you would take wonderful care of my Jazzy, and thanks for the offer. This group has the kindest people in it.

Rottweiler Discussions / Jazzy's Blood test
« on: July 03, 2005, 01:13:15 pm »
Jazzy's blood test were all good, nothing wrong. She seems to be doing just fine now. I have been watching her like a hawk, just in case something happens, but she is just fine. My mother in law passed away last night, so we will be flying to CA, for the funeral. I am not sure when yet, but in a few days I guess. I told Mario I do not want to stay there after the services for the will stuff and all, I want to come home for Jazz. She is going to be so scared she has never been away from us, since we got her 3 years ago TODAY. But this is something I have to do. So if I am not here for a while, save a place for us in your prayers. Thanks you guys, you all are so nice, it is great to have ya'll in my life.

I understand the humidity factor, but being from CA it was only once in a while. Now up here in WA it is damp always even when its dry LOL. I love the pics of your dobie and Marit I adore Mastiffs. My dad was from Denmark and he use to tell me how beautiful it was there. But he always added that it was better here. lol I just love this site I feel as if I have friends out there that share my love of the BIG dogs. Excuse my enthusiasim but it has been a while since I have had anyone to talk to.

We know NO one up here at all!!! We have been here 1 1/2 years and do not have anybody up here. Our life was in CA. not here, I have never lived anywhere but Southern California. 56 Years never lived anywhere else. and never wanted to either at the time. Now of course I love it here, but still miss my family and friends back home.

Did you try the magic meatloaf receipe. It sure works for me. 1 Hambuger patty with cooked rice and the dry food, mositened and serve. Usually in a few hours Jazzy is back to norm! what ever that is LOL

Hi Jazzy is doing just fine. I an not feeling that hot though! I know what you mean about the boarding thing. When Jazz was 8 months she was desperate for hair cut. So my vet has a super nice lady that does it, this was back in CA. So I drop her off so she will be done in a few hours. I get a call an hour later that Jazz has diarrea really bad. I pick her up and she is so tramatized by being away from us that she has caused herself to be sick. She must have thought we abandoned her, poor baby it took hours for her to get back to normal, and days before she wasn't attached to me. I felt so bad for her! So now give her, her haircut and it is really hard for me but I will not put her thru that again. Mario's mom is on her death bed in CA and we might have to go there. We will have to fly and I am terrified of flying, but I am more scared of leaving Jazz in a kennel. I am sure she will not do well at all, but there is no way to take her if we have to go. Any suggestions? It might be today or a year from now but I need to be prepared. Let me know if anyone out there has any ideas.

Hi All,
Jazzy is doing great, as if nothing happened. She is a really odd dog, sooo strange. She is not like any dog I have ever lived with, very moody, very clingy when she wants. But a total clutz she has no brakes, has no idea how big she is or how strong. She has to smell everything before she tries it, like we are going to posion her. No matter how hungry she is when I put down her food she ignores it for 2 to 3 minutes. It's like she is doing me a favor by eating it. I cook twice a week for her and make stock for her food, she is totally spoiled. She eats better than we do REALLY!!! Her favorite food is BUTTER she goes nuts for butter. We have to keep it in the fridge so she can't get it, even in the winter. She will eat ANYTHING if there is butter on it. I can give her any pill by just putting butter on it. No Problem! She likes it better than any meat! I think she was Danish in another life.
I love BC Canada, I don't remember if I have ever been to Spokane but I was in Seatlle in '64 for the World Fair. It rained everyday and it was summer, I was a kid and thought it was horrible. Now I love the rain and the Pacific Northwest the cooler temps and all the green. Californians don't know what they are missing and I am not going to tell them. LOL
