I have been strictly a raw feeder for almost 15 years. Zero dog food. All raw.
If you have any particular questions, I will be happy to try to answer.
I would suggest you get a couple of books, first off:
The Ultimate Diet by Kymythy Schultze
Give Your Dog a Bone, and Grow Your Pup With Bones, by Ian Billinghurst, DVM
There are several good mailing lists at Yahoo, and this is a great way to gain info. Join one, introduce yourself, and you will be intereacting with a large group of raw feeders who can answer any question you might have.
Raw feeding is not that complicated. Anyone can do it.
It takes more time, shopping, planning and sometimes prep than just dipping kibble out of a bag. Sometimes (not often) it can be more expensive than a kibble food.
I must say, tho, after well over 10 years feeding strictly raw to dogs from 21 days to 11+ years, and everything in between, that it is without a DOUBT one of the best things I EVER did for my dogs.
It's a journey of learning and once you start, it's almost impossible to consider anything else.
I have often wondered how any rational cognizant human being could ever think that any animal should or COULD live it's life without any fresh food.
More questions?
Let me know.
