What I have learned today

They say you learn something new every day.  I figure if we all post the something new we learned, then we'll all learn a couple hundred things a day.  Optimism at it's best.  ;)  It doesn't have to be dog related but my first one is.


I learned that the guy's on my Honey's football team think that dog hair in cookies is a big deal.

I learned that big, thick, leftover, grilled pork chops are good right out of the fridge.  No reheat needed.

I've learned that Ranger will only eat Greenies on carpet.  Go figure.

Also, that hives come back....just not in large amounts.  Probably because boys stink...well, at least I think so right now.  ;)

I learned today that if I tell my boss I "might" do something, she'll think I'll do it for sure. Crazy woman!

I learned that if I didn't say anything about my husband golfing 47 holes yesterday. That when I mentioned painting the bathroom that was just painted less than 6 months ago choc brown. He said I don't care. Tonight I am enjoying my newly painted bathroom.( it would have been better if he  painted it rather than me--but maybe that will come in time..lol)

I learned that I CAN hear the word "Mommy" said over 100 times consecutively and my head will NOT explode (although I sometimes wish it would!) ::)

I learned today that it doesn't matter who many times I try to wake up my husband from his "short" nap on the weekends (which actually lasts for many many hours), I will never be able to wake him up (and the dogs too) early enough to get things done in the house ...  :-\

Mine for today is actually educational  :o

In my town we have a school, shopping plaza, street, etc all named after this guy named Horace Mann, and I have always wondered what was so special about him.... Today while researching someone else for my grad school class, I learned that Horace Mann was a crusader for public education who was born and raised in my town. No wonder they named an elementary school after him...

I've learned that no matter how many times I try Ang's bread recipe it'll never turn out right! AND I also learned that the movie House of Wax totally sucks! lol ;D
