: Gypsy Jazmine January 28, 2006, 12:13:36 AM
It's raining here...Samson & Rosie get muddy when they go out but as far as I am concerned this is just sarcasm on Pippin's part!...lol...He loves to be dirty!...The dirtier the better!...& he hates anything that might make him pretty or presentable... Brushing, showers, being wiped down...Forget it!!...& doggie cologneThe Devil himself!!...lol...Does anyone else deal with a dog that is "all boy"? :-\

HAHA no! Tikaani is quite a girl when it  comes to being dirty! He can run through the mud and come inside without having ANY on him!!!!

Arisha on the other hand ::)She is just about as "boy" as a girl can get, she'll run through the same mud that Tiki does but come in COVERED in it!!!!

That is too funny!  Sorry to giggle, but Jinx does the same thing to me.  If there is some mud to be found, she will find it!  (Notice in my avatar she is muddy). It sure doesn't make our job any easier does it?  He is a very handsome boy....muddy or not.

Wow that's a lot of mud. He did a good job of getting evenly coated.  Pippin is a beauty mud and all :)

It's been raining quite a bit and my back yard is a mud pit. With 6 furkids you should see my carpet.  I think I'll just get a bag of grass seed and throw it on the carpet. I believe there's enough mud for it to grow.

Wow he sure is a dirty boy!!!

OUr backyard is a mudpit too right now. I hate it.  Farley jumps on Puck outside so Puck is dirty all over ::) ::) ::)

Merlin doesn't like being dirty. In fact whenever there are mudpuddles he will mince areound them like a real 16th century dandy. You'd think fur was silk or satin.
Raven will not step in grass, much less mud, if it is wet outside.
Strider, on the other hand is like your new Durango in four wheel drive. He points his nose and goes, flat out and h*ll for leather. He generally comes in covered in mud, and just like Pippin, he hates any attempt to be prettified.

You should just dye him black and call him a newf.  Kali's two Saint friends love to wallow in any and all sorts of mud their favorite being swamps.

I love those photos, now I know that Pippin and Dixie are from some of the same lines. He just wanted to try out a mud bath, good for his skin you know.  I just love that boy!  I do the same dry clean (overnight) with Dixie and Sugar Bear.

LOL!!!!  That's a rather remarkable job of getting it ALL OVER!!!!  I mean, I can understand how the belly and paws get dirty but he sure must have had quite a job getting it all over his back like that!  Looks like Pigpen in the Charlie Brown comics!  He is one heck of a handsome dog even under a pile of mud like that!!  Can't hide those good looks.  Maybe he's trying to convince you that he's not just a pretty face ;)

My little nala is the same way, Tonka will come in with dirty feet, but nala lets just say she rolls in the mud like a pig does.

Ty for all the sympathy!...LOL! :D  I ended up hauling Pippin into the doggie shower we have in the basement last night...I mean the dog had mudballs hanging off of his back legs!...He wasn't pleased!...lol!

I don't know about sarcasm, I think Pippin is seriously taking the p*ss!  ;D

My chow was the worst - he thought he was a water buffalo and all sorts of stuff used to drop out of his fur. He'd go wading in the local stream and once he got wet, he'd take 3 days to dry out fully. Given the chance he'd lie outside in the mud in the pouring rain.

Flynn's not too bad, but I can only tell he's got really dirty if his tan bits disappear. He's Mr Roly Poley and delights in finding strange stuff to slamdance on top of - nothing too rancid thankfully, just old gloves or discarded mattresses. But even mud is easy to deal with as I shove him in his crate with a couple of towels on the bottom and voila - half an hour later there's a lovely clean dog waiting to be let out.

My shar-pei were the best - talk about fastidious! They wouldn't even stand in a puddle, never mind go out in the rain. I swear Phoebe was part Native American or something as she'd know if it was going to rain a good 15 minutes in advance and head for home... or not leave in the first place.

No, I'm serious...Pyrs are "teflon dogs"...They dry & the dirt falls off of them!

Right.  All over your house along with all the hair.  Still, it beats being dogless.  Mud is best when it is attached to those you love.   ;D
