I rescued my baby a little over 2 months ago and we love him to pieces.  I was told he is an Akita/Border Collie mix, but I just don't know.  I would like to get your opinion on this little guy.  A lot of people ask us if he is a pitbull, but I have done a live side by side comparison and there is no way.  His vet said he has some lab in him... Thoughts?

From what I have seen of border collies they have med/long coats. I would think he has some black lab in him. I haven't seen many Akita's so I'm not sure on that part.

 i realy can't tell the mix in him but i can tell ya he is a cutie....i have a akita/lab ,he is all yellow but has the akita body...

Agree, it looks like some lab, but on the second pic. where is is with his yellow toy, I can see some Border Collie in him too, I dont know if it is that a little bit longer hair on his chest and the way he looks on that pic. but he does look a tad bit a border on that one. But does it really matter?? He is a total cutie and has the look of a big kisser.

he is a cutie.  I would have to say that yes he definitely has lab in him and by the shape of his head I would have to say he has some terrier in him, pit bull or staff maybe.

Honestly I don't see the first thing Akita about him -- sorry!  I could buy Border Collie.  Looks Boxer-ish to me in the face.
