jaw cracking?
« on: November 11, 2006, 12:39:15 pm »
Mack's jaw cracks really loud when he yawns...really loud!!!! and its like when he goes to close his mouth its like his teeth are chattering. what causes this?
When the last fish has been caught and the last tree has been cut down...Only then will man realize that he cannot eat money.

That sounds kind of like TMJ syndrome in humans.

That's what I was thinking too!  I wonder if the surgery would be as easy in a dog as it is a human....

I have no idea....probab ly best to check with your vet.  TMJ in humans is a pretty easy surgery to correct the 'loose' muscles that hold your jaw together, as I understand it....

I have no idea what TMJ is  ???, but Baileys jaw chatters sometimes to. it doesn't crack, though. his usually chatters after he's been licking himself  :-[ or something like that.
