I hope Rocky is feeling better. Unfortunatley things happen thats why they call them accidents & all you can do is go foward with a valuable lesson learned.

Have you heard anything yet on Rocky?

As everyone has said, we've all been dumb and forget that even though they have four legs it's like living with perpetual two year olds!  Forgive yourself!!!

I hope things are ok with Rocky today, poor thing!  I am waiting for the day when Sadie gets into something that we have left laying out and shouldn't have.  They can be so sneaky and are into things before we even know it.  Don't blame yourself!  Get well soon,  Rocky!

We're still waiting to hear from the Dr. I called this afternoon and they didn't really say anything. They have a routine where the Dr. updates you in the morning and the evening. He won't have labs until later tonight so I don't know if they are waiting until after to call or what. The waiting is excruciating :'(

Well, it's driving me nuts as well!!!  Can you go visit him?  Cowboy won't leave with ANYBODY else so everytime he has to go to the vet, I go in the back with him.  The clinic is just used to it by now....you could try.....

Unfortunately this is a pretty big vet hospital and they are pretty busy. I don't think they encourage visiting hours! Anyway, the vet just called and Rocky is doing pretty well. The labs they did earlier weren't to check his renal function so they won't know if his kidneys are improving until after they do the labs late tonight. On the positive side, he is eating and drinking and to me that's a good sign. Any time he isn't feeling well that's the first thing we notice, his appetite drops.  Fingers crossed----------------------

Fingers and paws crossed here too!  It does sound good that he feels well enough to eat and drink.

Morning update - his renal labs have improved a little and they are going to continue giving him fluids until no more improvement is seen or they return to normal.  His appetite is good and he is peeing alot. I want to go see him but I think that would only be good for me because he would get so wound up when he saw us and I don't want him getting all excited and pulling out his iv so I'm going to refrain.
