So I was wondering how many of your newfs suffer from this? It doesn't seem to matter what we try, he still develops them. I know that it makes him itch inside his ear, one is always worse and the smell starts to make me hungry for bread.   ???

Any comments or advice would be great.

Thanks from this newbie and her 7 1/2 year old Newfie.

Introduce Yourself to the Forum / Hi to all fellow BIG dog lovers!

I am so excited to find this forum. I wanted to introduce myself and to say hello. Life is usually chaotic, so I may not get to post too much.

My name is Christy and I am the proud human of Barron, the sweetest newfie yet. I have been married for just over 12 years, have one very cute and active 4 year old (Olivia) and have a cat as well. Too crowded since we had to downsize to a 1000 sq ft apt, even with the fenced back yard. We live in Portland, Oregon and love the northwest.

Barron is 7 1/2 years old and still acts like a puppy. He loves to swim, but we don't go near often enough for him. He has elbow displaysia and both of his ACLs are torn. HE is happy to be part of the family and loves to eat.

When we are able to buy a house, we want to get on OEM next and someday another newf, a berner, a dane etc. Just love the big guys. Thanks for letting me share,

Christy
