Here's some good news folks! 

Last Saturday, Pearl's name changed to "Sweetie" and she went home with a wonderful family! 

Thanks for all the good thoughts, prayers, & crossed paws!!!

It's been something that's made me smile all week.....I think I was walking on air & had as many stars in my eyes as her family did.......they were so obviously "HER" family!!!      I was sad to let her go, but the thought of how they looked so great together made it all worth while.

Annnddd....... ..I went & got her sister, Frosty, as my new foster baby.....

7 months......

....not gonna stay on long line any longer tonight....she's breathing 142 times a minute....I've been watching her pretty closely today....she's not been her sweet-self - even nipped Bella on the nose.......did n't eat well tonight....doe sn't want to play.......I think I'll take her to the ER vet....that's breathing waaay tooo fast!  Please say prayers that she's okay, k?

Okay......back from the vet.......

NORMAL vital signs + Normal Physical = vet thinks she's "stressed".............. do dogs get PMS?  Is it a full moon?  Do they go from play bows, bunny hops, wag the tail - happy to be here with you play and 24 hours later snarl, snap, and generally say "back-off"!!!?!

Don't get me wrong....I'm very, very relieved that he found nothing physically wrong and she didn't need any unnecessary tests.......

This is exactly how the parents who bring thier kids to see me feel when they say, "but, Doc....I swear she was sick!" (the kid is usually jumping up & down on the stretcher like a little monkey at this point....)

Thanks for the good thoughts....I'm gonna keep a watchful eye on her.....&...I'm sure gonna sleep better knowing that nothing "physical" is wrong!

She seems back to normal this morning...Yeah!

LOL Yup Dilbert counter surf all the time, looking for food. And when it is pasta well I have learned not to leave my lunch on the counter anymore. Or it is gone!. I guess that is the price you pay for having big dogs huh? But we love em just the same.

Yeah Sweety!  Pat yourself on the back to woman.  You have dedicated many hours and money to maintain her until you could find her a good home.  I know you were paid back a hundred times over with the love in the eyes of her new family and the love in Sweeties eyes for your care.  But you deserve a big pat on the back for all you do.... Thanks!!! Y'all are makin' me blush!!!    I've never felt very comfortable accepting praise...but when I get it from folks that love big dogs as much as I do - it means a lot!!  Thank you!
