GSP's are very high energy...simil ar to the Weimaraner...t hey are believed to be derived from the same line (way way back)- but you can't get all different kinds... they are very very smart...water dogs... strong...I too love the GSP... I'm not a hunter....but they do have a high prey drive too... if you get one...and you aren't into hunting...try to find one that is raised as a companion... they are big jumpers...so you must have a tall fence...if you don't have an electric fence...but they are strong...I watched one and it used to get into the shower with me...she loved showers!  I have a Weimaraner...a nd I looooove my Weim...

Those are all awesome... I had no idea that Great Danes were such swimmers!  What a sight!I love swimming photos!  I can't wait to get Duffy into the water... its just got to warm up a bit in the North East still...

My Duffy is a big "pawer"... he uses those paws to express alot and I too try to work on that...but its not an easy one... Duffy is 81 lbs... of full on love... and I too clip the nails but man they do leave welts... he's 11 months old...still a lot of puppy in him... but I just try to work on it... but I know what you mean about the paws...

I understand your feelings in a different kind of way....when I received Duffy his testicles had not descended and he had to be neutered....an d had I wanted to show him or have puppies...it wouldn't have worked out....so I was fortunate that Duffy came to me...

But of course you will love your baby just the same.... its great that they are investigating it...it could just be a very small mistake... you know?  I hope it all works out...chin up...atleast you still have your baby.

I'm a Newbie too...I was recommended by a friend who I met on the Weim chat group and we found that we have 1/2 siblings...I have a 2.5 yr old Beagle named Riley and a 11 month old Weimaraner named Duffy.

I look forward to meeting you and your furry friends and lending any kind support that I can...

Hello -
I'm new to the group was turned onto this site by a friend that I met on the MSN Weim Chat group...we found out that we have half siblings... our Weims came from the same breeder... just different moms...

Anyway, I'm thrilled to be part of your group... just wanted to say hello...and I'm the proud momma of Duffy my 11 month old Weim and Riley my 2.5 yr old Beagle! (and 3 kitties...norm ally have 2 but my mom moved in with her cat!)
