Please forgive me, I need to vent...

Sorry guys, But i really need to get some things off my chest, and i honestly have nobody to talk to...
Ok, You all know, well, most of you, know this week was a pretty rough week for a lot of people... but i think im having the worse luck of my whole life...
Wednesday, the 14th, marked the anniversary of my Dane, Zeus's passing... On that day this year, i lost my job. i was fired due to other employee's mistakes... and them blaming me for it, and him NOT believing me... That night, my problems with cloud happened... He died the following day... that has been VERY hard on me...
Well, we have been planning this HUGE trip to vegas for a week, which is happening on the 23rd when we leave for ottawa... You need birth certificate and photo ID to get on the plane...
Well, heres the thing.... We leave from ottawa to vegas on the 25th, get back in ottawa on the 29th... My id expires on the 28th. the airline said Thats fine... so one thing that was alright, eh? Sooooo lastnight, saturday, my friend Michelle calls, and invites us to the bar... so no problem, we go to the bar... I'm 21 by the way... and look maybe 18 tops? Well, the bouncer looks at my ID and said it was a fake... He started picking at my ID and pulled all the lamanate OFF my id. he then confinsated (SP) it, and told me to get the cops if i wanted it back. SO- i did. the cops got it, came back to me, i stayed at the cop shop because honestly, what a lousy week... I broke right down, and cried all night. so when the cops came they asked me the condition of my id before the bouncer took it. i said "there was a wee bursted air pocket above the birthdate" he said "well, ok..." he handed me my id... the bouncer took the WHOLE birthday off of it, my address is BARELY on there... now, my id is RUINED. i probably wont be able to get to vegas now. and we already paid... Im soooo mad. and soooo upset about everything right now...
any words of comforting would help!

What a jerk!  Did you at least get an apology?  You should be able to get a new ID by the 23rd- I'd call the DMV in the morning to see how long it will take, but we get ours the same day if it's just a renewal.  Since it's ruined, maybe could you get a report from the cop to confirm that it was a valid lisence so there won't be any problems with the DMV.  Sorry you had such a bad week-hope your luck will turn around in Vegas!

I totally would have kicked him in the junk if I had had the week you've been having!
You should be able to get a new ID in that time.
And if you can't well, it sounds to me like a case for JUDGE JUDY!!

You just need to go get a replacment i.d....Should be no trouble.

I have a couple of friends who've had theirs broken and I believe all you need to do is bring proof of identity look on your state's DMV site to see what you need for identification usually its a birth certificate and social security card. You should be able to get one as soon as your DMV is open.  That really sucks though, I'd call the bar and file a complaint and maybe ask for compensation for the amount you'll have to pay for a new license and an apology.  Good luck and have fun in Vegas!

Oh you poor thing...you've just been through waaaay too much.... You did not need running into such a jerky bouncer!  On top of everything else you have been through...I'm sure you can get that replacement ID...and still go on your trip...plus you deserve it... you need to be good to yourself.

Laminated Drivers licenses?  They still use those?  I thought all State ID's and Drivers licenses were like credit cards so they are harder to fake?  That sucks you have had all those things happening in your life, when it rains it pours.  Good things will start happening soon.

Lets plan for a change of luck. Working in a casino I am going to say find anything including an old school ID with a pic and bring it with you as when you win big you'll need something with a pic for the paperwork. My other suggestion is file a complaint with the bar and be sure to tell everyone the name of the bar. Their best customers are usually the twenty somthins, a group i assume you belong to. I hope this week is going better an have fun in Vegas.
