Daddy is out of town on business for a few days so it's just me and the triplets. We've already had one accident in the house (cause Mommy picked the wrong time for her own potty break) and Ursa has been picking on both Fargo and the cats! >:( Had to remind Her Furry Majesty that I'm the Alpha B*tch around here!
If this keeps up it's going to be a loooooong week!
-
I would but Fargo has a serious case of laser pointer OCD! :D
-
I feel your pain but at least I only have one puppy! With four dogs, a cat and a 16 month old child-sometimes when DH comes home from work, I am near tears! I highly suggest the dog park since walking all three by yourself is probably impossible! Good luck- it will be funny...someda y. :)
-
I don't get home until after dark so the dog park is out. Thank heaven for my dog sitter who gives them some exercise during the day!
I fell back on that old standby - training!! If I can make them all down stay at the same time then there's no amount of distraction they can't handle!
Wonder if they know that being bratty means mom breaks out the clicker and the treats??? :-\
-
Won't go into the single mom bub woes, especially with one recouping from surgery. Suffice it to say I feel your pain. As will hubbers feel mine when he gets home Saturday. ;D
I hadn't realized how much my two play with each other until now having to fill in for Sophie for Syrus. I tried to play 'dog' with him this evening by getting on hands and knees to chase him around the couch with tennis ball in his mouth like Sophie does. Bad idea. Wood floors are hard on the knees and I'm afraid I scared poor Syrus to death. Tucked his tail, dropped the tennis ball and head for the door to the garage.
Apparently I'm not the bitch some people think I am. :D
-
hahahaha! Good one Elizabeth!
How about I send one of mine up there to fill in for Sophie?
-
Sounds like a great idea! I heard somewhere it's cheaper to buy a one-way ticket. ::)
-
Invite a girl friend over or something, might help you keep your sanity!
When Tom leaves, Diesel becomes a total clingy whiner. He follows me around the house, won't even let me go to the washroom alone, lets out little whimpers and heavy sighs... Apparently he does the same to Tom when I'm gone.
But then, when we are both home, he just goes and lies in the kitchen away from us!! LOL, maybe he's just exhausted from all the clinging by that time :)

I wouldn't doubt it. Both Cody and Sierra know when they are outside, that if I call them and they stand in the middle of the yard long enough with blank looks on their faces, eventually I will stop saying "come" and I'll say "Who wants a cookie?". Needless to say, I can call come til I'm blue in the face but I only have to offer a cookie once and they come a-runnin!
It's a good thing I pay for a membership to a training club - money well spent! I'd say those puppers have me very well trained by this point! ;D ;D

Don't you know 'cookie' and 'come' are synonyms? Hubs thinks so as well. I can yell, "cookie" out the front door and he comes running every time. :D

I finally broke down and called one of my Newf friends for moral support! The dog-kids have been somewhat better behaved today but the cats are a different story!
-
I think one of us down here needs a friend. Either another human or another big hairy dog. This one on one stuff appears to be for the birds!!
Luke is being a brat and I'm tired!!
-
That's it, Debbie. You're gonna have to move closer to me. Then you can bring Luke over to play with my kids while we have an adult beverage or two!
-
Come on down, Esther! The more the merrier!
-
Send the bubs to my place and I'll pup-sit while you all have a well deserved adult beverage break.
I wouldn't want to have to call PPS (Puppy Protection Services)if you don't.
Blackmail? I'm hurt. I'm just offering my services. ;)
-
Wow....wouldn't that be nice. Elizabeth, you need a bigger break than I do. You have a patient, not a brat, to deal with. If I travel to any of you I need a wagon to pull Luke in. He won't fit in my present car very well.
-
I'm laughing my head off picturing Luke strapped to the bumper for the trip!
-
The last time Luke escaped and got a couple blocks away my son in law brought his home with his arm out the window holding on to the leash. Luke wouldn't get in the car with him.
I'm picturing a little trailer with wooden slats, painted red. On the back it could say "No Tailgating!".
-
The SIL visual is just too funny! :D
btw - i may have to report you to PPS myself for not buying a Luke worthy vehicle already!
-
For real...I should be reported. I have a '66 Mustang and an older Saab. He actually will fit but I get drool down the back of my neck.
-
okay - the Mustang is Luke worthy but not Luke comfortable - i'll let that one slide!

woah, a 1966 Mustang?!?!?

Now THAT is pretty rock'n!
-
Hey, that looks like mine. Candy apple red. My dad bought that car when I was 17, not for me, as a second car. He knew I liked them. I inherited it years later when he got another car and have had it ever since.
-
If for no other reason but to provide entertainment to us BP's I'd love to see Luke sticking his big ol' mug out of that beauty.
Is your's a rag top?
-
Hah! I'll have to do that. Right now it's back over at my house. My husband had the brilliant idea of getting wheels that lock years ago. Now I need a new tire and he can't find the key to get the wheel off. ::)
