Chase did not seem too thrilled in this photo session but I still think he looks like a great cuddly doggie.  Even if he is about 155 pounds now he still likes to crawl up in the bed and cuddle like a puppy.  Saints are the coolest....... ..

Sorry I haven't been able to post in a while; life is just crazy and going too fast and never seems to slow down.  I hope everyone enjoys the pictures.  Chase is growing up to be the best boy and I cannot express my joy he brings to our son and our family.  I think Saints are the best doggies in the world and hope many more families can experience the fun and joys we have in our family.  If anyone knows the secret to getting him out of his stubborn stage it would be appreciated.  He seems like a typical teenager, or at least like I was when I was a teenager, I know best and you are there just to offer advice.  If I want to sit here while you are telling me to go outside, I will just sit there until I am ready.  Ohhhhhh, what to do with a stubborn doggie?????  It would probably help if he didn't have that look, you know, the blank stare like he doesn't understand but you know darn well he does.  Anyway, hope everyone enjoys the pictures.

Chase seems to have the Gene Simmons thing going on.  He is the perfect boy.  It is difficult to take walks because everyone stops us and talks to us.  By the time we are done talking, it is dark.  I would not have it any other way.  Neither would Chase, he loves the attention.

Chase is growing up way to fast, at least from a parent's perspective.  He will be six months old on April 2nd.  I am convinced Chase at least try’s his best to be good.  There are times that I wonder though.  I would not have him any other way, at least he is persistent.  Hope everyone enjoys the pictures.

Chase still thinks he can climb up in our laps.  He minds very well when we tell him he is too big and heavy to lay with us but he lays down and he looks soooooo sad.  My wife usually gets down on the floor and lets him put his head on her leg and pets him.  Man, he's got a rough life.  He still fits in the chairs by himself though; glad I take lots of pictures cause I don't think he will fit much longer.

Saint Bernard General Discussions / I am worried about Chase

Chase tends to hang his tong out of him mouth about one or two inches sometimes when he sleeps.  I looks very cute, but I read something about nerve problems related to this.  Chase is six months old now as of March 2nd.  I did not post any pictures due to if this is an issue that needs medical attention I want to be sure I am serious about it.  Has anyone else with Saints seen this with their puppies?  Thank you.

Anything Non-Dog Related / Passion taking over?

I would love to pursue my passion for playing drums but I am not sure if I could produce the same amount of income for the family if I pursued my dream.  Is it more important to accomplish our material goals or achieve our dreams in our current life?  I included a couple of pictures of my drums.  Let me know what you all think.

Behavior, Housebreaking, Obedience / The Dog and the Cat

Well, it has been a while and the cat still refuses to accept the dog as anything but a nuisance.  The dog would love to play with the cat but has never been able to get within claws reach of the cat.  The cat is older, 4 years or so now.  I thought I made progress one night when the cat calmed down and laid on the floor and the dog laid on the floor about three feet away and they just stared at each other.  This went on for about 20 minutes.  The dog got bored and walked up to the cat and she resumed her hissing and swatting.  The cat is an inside outside cat so she still has her claws.  The puppy has never approached her aggressively and sometimes will just lay down and kind of crawl towards her.  The pup really wants to make friends but the cat just doesn't seem to want any part of it.  My wife tells me it is a hopeless cause and I am going to give the cat a heart attack.  Should I give up?  I am officially at a loss.

Took a diet coke bottle and put it in the sink with water and took the label off.  Gave the thing to Chase with nothing in it with the top on and he had a blast.

Today was the first day I saw Chase jump up into the recliner by himself.  Of course, the pesky Daddy would not let him relax and gave him his rawhide bone so pictures could be taken.  He is just the coolest dog....
