This is horrible and sad.

Similar story, my friend has 2 pits (which would not harm anything or anyone). The female got out of the privacy fence one day while she was at work and a neighbor was "frightened for her life" as she ran through the neighborhood, instead of calling my friend or her husband, the neighbor call animal control. When they got there she was trying to climb the fence to get back in her own yard and they shot her with a tranqualizer, blood was everywhere in one neighbors yard and Honey died before my friend could get her, she was a free bleeder and they could not stop the bleeding.

How horrible!!! Plus I can't believe that they just left the bloody dog there for the owner to deal with. That's really compassionate. >:(

 >:( >:(This is horrible and unfortunatly it is the sad truth for pitbull owners and similar breed owners. The police probably just wanted to shoot the dog. Maybe he is afraid of pitbulls but that is no excuse!! >:(If it were me I would really try to sue!! This makes me so angry!! >:( >:(

wow, thats awful...I don't know what I would do. How heartbreaking. .. poor dog!

The guy doesn't know if he will sue the city. The city wants to treat this as a personal property thing. Ironically if you harm a police dog it counts as harming an officer. Something I agree with, but there should be some fairness.

I don't really understand how they can just go INTO someone's yard and assault your dog. I know the dogs MIGHT have been a danger if they got out. But I knew for a fact they weren't since I met the dogs and they didn't show agression.

I don't know...its just sad.
