You know what they say about big feet......  8) I thought it would be fun to see the Big Paws on the dogs of BPO and maybe have a little photo contest to see who's got the biggest paws of all. Drake gets a lot of comments about his, they look like those Bear Claw slippers. I measured his and not counting the hair, he's about 4 inches across. I must warn you folks, THEY DON'T PARTICULARLY LIKE THIS. Well, at least Drake doesn't, he kept moving around every time I put the tape measure to his feet. So, 4 inches is the size to beat. Even if your dog isn't bigger than that, post a photo!  ;D

Okay....Cowboy's foot is at four inches as well....but how did you do it??? Take the picture and hold the measuring tape! Drake must be far better trained or you are amazingly flexible to do both. Now THAT'S impressive! ;D ;D
Chester, at 8 months is a dainty 3 1/2 inches....agai n no photo!!! ;D

C'mon now, photos are key here. Gotta have them to play, just shoot the shot with one hand and measure with the other. Lock the tape measure so you can do it with one hand. ;D

Pup's asleep, If I go in there and wake him up to measure and take a picture of his foot, I'm afraid my wife will know that I have absolutely gone insane. ;D

Kiah doesn't.:( Hers is only 3 inches. They look bigger then they actually are.

So far then, Ruckus and Drake are tied at 4 inches. It's a close one, but there's gotta be dog out there, be it a Saint or Pyr or Rottie or whatever, that's going to "step" on the competition! Keep the Paws coming! ;D

I dont know...Yelenas male Balou has some huge feet along with bone...Maybe she will measure when i go visit her...
My female CO have big mits too LOL...here she is not looking so pretty
She has the biggest feet that I have seen for a female pup...she is big boned and has big feet, i will measure her for biggest feet on a pup LOL

Well Puck fell a little short. Along with being very uncooperative for the photo. I only managed to get the underside and a very odd angle ::) He falls just shy of 3 1/4 inches relaxed foot.
How come our tape measure is the only one that is beat up and scruffy looking?!?!?!lol
Farley doesn't count for this one ::)

I didn't get any pictures but molly, my saint has 3 1/4 paws at 4 1/2 months. does that count. just imagine how big they will be when she is full grown.

Nigel definitely has the biggest paws in our house and he is nowhere near the lead! Wow! I guess I'm just going to have to go get a bigger dog!! :D
There's still time for Mokey to grow up and whoop everyone's butt!! C'mon, Mokey!!! (I can dream, can't I? ;))

This certainly was a challenge, but I measured Ranger's paw and got photographic evidence...alb eit a tad blurry. Our paw measured in at a little over 3 inches...but we are still a puppy, so there is hope, right?!?! Of course, I don't know that we can compare to that Newfy fur!

hard to see but about 4 1/4 to 4 /12" maybe his bigg feet will make him famous, his snoring hasn't ... yet.

Dohertyswissy, your picture is making me nauseaous! :P  To make things fair though, fur shouldn't count towards overall paw size. That's why I shaved off about a 1/2 inch on Drake. Fair is fair. If that were not the case, I know some Cocker Spaniels that would measure in at about 8 inches!!!!

My son watched us measure molly's paws he then made us measure his and Anna's, so I thought I would give you guy a smile.

Kate is a little over 2 1/2 inches at just about 18 wks old. Not bad for a 'dainty' little girl ;D

Here's Neo and Savannah. Neo is 18 weeks now and Savannah is 6 months, she is quite a bit smaller than him.

Flynn is embarrassed and would not allow me to post a picture - he doesn't know I'm typing this as he's asleep in the kitchen...
...he's 10 months old and he's only got 3 inch paws. That's measured with him lying down so whok nows, they may spread a little if he's standing on them. :D
I'd have sworn they were bigger than that as they look like lion's paws when he's walking.

It may have seemed that the Saints would dominate since they are recognized as the heaviest dogs in the world, or maybe the Malamutes due to their breeding so they can run on top of snow, but the Newfs are DOMINATING! Let's get back to the action.....

How old was Zoey when her paws stop growing?
I'm not sure. This is the first time I've ever pulled out a tape measure, so I don't really know how big they have been - I just know that they always seemed to be in proportion to her legs. She's 17 months now and 120lbs, so she still has some growing to do. I guess I will have to remeasure her paws in a few months ;)

Oh my gosh you guys! You will not believe what happened over night! I woke up this morning and Zoey's paws have practically doubled in size! 5 1/2 inches :o

I measured Cooper's paw again last night {while he was sleeping ::) } and he's up to 3 inches!! ;D
I wonder if they'll get any bigger
