Bigog I already contacted Ron Keener about transport.
Can give you a better approx pick up time next week.

OK folks, lets play name this sweet boy.
Person to pick a name I like gets gift certificate for a large bag of dog food of their choice.  :)

I see BigDog hasn't had time to post but to let you all know she has the Danes pulled and with her.
They sound like they have had a heck of a not so great life.
Seems the male is older than the shelter estimated and real small
maybe 28 inches and 87 lbs :o

His mother
don't assume the surgeon has to be a male  ;)

WooHoo !!!

Just talked to bigdog, if the male doesn't eat Bigdogs cats then the male has a wonderful home here and our family will be complete.

Cricket, if they can get the male to you and you can evaluate him with your other dogs and the cats to see how he does, as long as he doesn't eat my cats  :o he has a home. I'll pay for Ron to bring him to me.
Hubby and I already decided we wanted another but needs to be a male, I want Niki to be the only female, females seem much more dominate. I know Mozart would get along with anyone, he's such a gentleman. Let me know.

We wanted another male something but after much discussion decided against anything with long hair. So a Dane it is and a Newfie or Saint is ain't  ;)

If someone can go and personally evaluate the male, I would be willing to maybe take the male and pay for his transport here, but I really need someone to evaluate him, let me know his age and temperment as best they can.
I would also need someone to hold him for transport which could be for up to a month away.
Ron Keener is making a trip in Oct. Not sure which part of Oct he starts. Need more info to even consider it.

That sounds wonderful!!!! hey if you can get me the price of a toy box with a lid that locks shut and is big enough for great dane stuffies and big bone type toys...

Everything will be custom made, all you have to do is tell us how high, wide and tall you want it. Also what type of finish.
Won't be a problem putting a lock on it.When we get this going, in about 3 to 5 weeks, we'll also get a web site going.

My husband who is a retired Veteran who has also lost the last 3 weeks work due to arthritis has decided to start woodworking and will be buying his supplies and starting his woodworking shop here in the next couple weeks.

What I'd like from folks is ideas.
What's out there you can't find or can only find that is to spendy?

For instance, raised water and food dishes?
I have seen them to be quite spendy.
He can make them and a profit for half the price.
Added bonus since they will be custom made, he can make it specifically for your dogs as he won't be the big commercial type where they make hundreds of just 18, 20 and 22 inches high.
The finish can match your decor.
We will offer toll painting on them and / names painted on them.
Please, this is a new endeavor and we can use all the ideas you have.
One idea we have is wooden doggy toy chests, for the dogs toys that would have the dogs name on it.
He wants to make quality things for critter folks at affordable prices just so he can have fun and make a modest living.
Thank you for any ideas.

Amani's Mom, if you feel that strongly, why not call him again? Tell him you feel confidant you'd be a great home for Ella and you understand his concerns and would like to invite him to your place and show him what a great place you have to offer Ella.
Assure him you can provide for her.
It can't hurt.
A person can't say no if you don't ask and sometimes poliet persistance pays off.

Nikita has always had the run of the house when I'm not home, but 2 dogs can't be trusted  :D
We left them alone in the house for the first time and went to dinner (a whole hour and a half)
It wasn't that bad, but I did have a bit of clean up to do and Mr. Mozart has a kitty scratch on his nose  :o
Time to run out and buy Mozart a crate.
We're hardly ever away from home, but for that once every week or two times, Mr. Mozart will need to be crated.
A lesson learned. :)
