Does anyone use slippery elm? It was recommended to me to use on Kiah since she has such a sensitive stomach. I got some today at a health food store. They had the powder in big jars and gave me a small amount in a baggie. It has no directions. What's the dosage?

You can't overdose it.
I use it frequently. You can even use it, and it's been used in the past, as a flour substitute.
I would start with a teaspoon on her food and see what results you have. Move upward from there, I would think a tablespoon at each meal would not be an excessive amount.
It's basically a food stuff, so dont' be scared to give her a spoonfull, you can't hurt her with it.

Thanks for the advice Red. I wanted to get the live enzymes, but it was very expensive. I will try to find it on the internet cheaper. Do you use both?

Tonyc try the internet or just any health or organic food store. I haven't checked yet, but one of our grocery stores has a huge organic section. It never hurts to look.

Try your local walmart for digestive enzymes.
This company also has GREAT supplements. FastTrack is a good digestive aid that you can get from them.

Red, can slippery elm be used long term? I have been giving Sugar Bear 2 caps for the past four days.
