Alright all you dog fans,
Get ready because here are the contestants for the first ever Big Paws Only Beauty Pageant. Each contestant has worked long and hard to get into shape and hold still for that perfect shot. The proud moms and dads have worked tirelessly to make their pooch the best they can be. Before casting your vote, make sure you look long and hard at each entry. Vote for the dogs (1 male, 1 female) you like the most based on overall cuteness and attire!

These are ALL great. I am simply amazed that these wonderful animals put up with all this garbage. They have such happy faces on and I know that they are thinking "why do I have to do this stupid thing". Is it for the treat, I don't think so, it is because they love you and want to make you happy. This is great and I tip my hat to you all.

These are great!! I've got to sneak Ranger into an outfit tonight. I'm inspired!!! I already got it picked out!!!!
Lucky for me, I'm on the east coast...plenty of time to get home, get Ranger spiffed up, take a picture...all before the hubby gets home and thinks I've lost my ever loving mind!

He looks to be very happy about the whole dress up thing. I like your pictures.You are much braver than I. There is no way I could have gotten any clothes on Judge. He was really upset with me after our photo shoot. Im not winning anything eather but it sure is fun.
The kids saw the pictures yesterday and Katey wanted to know why she cant dress up the animals. OOOPS Im busted. Just hope she doesnt tell anyone. I can hear it now. Mom dresses Judge up and takes pictures of him for the internet. :o

I think it is safe to say that all of our dogs hate us for making them look so dog-gon cute! I love all of the pics so much that I could just eat 'em up!

He looks adorable, but I didnt know Ranger was a x-dresser, maybe he wanted a more manly outfit hehe I know the feeling when the dog looks better in the dress than you though. And I have to take mine to the cleaners before I can use it again. Hera did some serious drooling on it lol...

I missed all the fun thanks to Bailey. 2 day ago she run under the computer desk during her "puppy crazies". I didn't realize it until the next morining she had torn out the keyboard wire from the computer. When I went to hook it back up the plug was still in there, but the wire had snapped!!!!! I couldn't get a new keyboard until tonight, because it has been sooooo busy! I get on tonight and am soooo sad Bailey missed the pageant.
The pictures are awesome everyone! Nicki, you have way too much time on your hands, girl ;D I think now you need to go into the Ebay business selling dog costumes. You are going to be RICH!!! and I am sure with Cody and Angus as models they would sell like hot cakes!

I apologize to you parents because I had to limit the number of photos to 2 per entry due to the overall size limit because we set the limit at 40 and I made the chages before the Mr. got it. I should have waited so that I could have changed it correctly. My apologizes.

I voted! Whoever paid the big guy to come and jump me last night, it didn't sway my vote in the least!
Jaime is there a way we can make a scrapbook page and have these in there? Maybe a link to the side under BigPaws or something? Then as we have the Meet and Greet and such you can add picture to it. I would hate these pics to just melt to the bottom and disappear forever. Just a suggestion.

I brushed the one side off and put the fury side down and gave it to hubby hehe, he is now coughing up hairballs :o

Hey...I just wanna say that Cabeza had bad diarrhea when I took his picture as "Cabeza Bo-Peep"....so...he's not in his prime!!! He gave it a good effort, though!!!

Hahaha! Thanks, Guys! Poor Cabeza, he just wanted to cuddle when I was dressing him up. (Since he was sick) And my boyfriend was too busy eating to help me get a good shot! Those men and their damn stomachs!

HAHAHAHAHA! I'll put Cabeza into one of those swimsuits with the "slimming panel" hahahahah! That way, he'll LOOK cut! I can't wait...when are we going to do this, Jabear? I'm totally psyched. And, Mark (my boyfriend) felt so bad about Cabeza's picture sucking and not helping me and Cabeza not getting ANY votes, that he's agreed to help me next time. So, its ON. I don't care HOW cut Galahad is!
He's feeling a bit better...he just had bad diarrhea for a couple of days. Its firmed up now. But, he's very lethargic....I think because he's so hot. That cooler bed is going to have to happen SOON. Poor baby.

I'm sure many of you have heard of William Wegman, the famous Weimaraner photographer who has been in the spotlight since, at least, the mid-seventies. I remember gawking at his books when I was a kid. For those who are unfamiliar his dogs hold the most incredible poses for him. I think there may be some great inspiration gained from his work....to generate ideas for the next pageant.

I can't wait for the patriotic theme! The Fourth of July is MY holiday, meaning I host it at my house every year and I go crazy with red white and blue. I come from a long line of veterans and I'm married to one so I get a little choked up and a whole lotta proud on that day! Especially when I hear the Star Spangled Banner. I'm so excited!

Thank you so much to Jabear for hosting the pageant, and thank you tremendously to those who voted for "The Pig!" (Greta). Sssshhhhhhh! She doesn't know that she's won yet. I'll have to do something really special for her. I am very, very, very happy, because we do not have a treat like this...I think our last prize was a bag of dog food we won with a photo of Lou pulling on a shoestring 7.9 years ago. :)

Dont be modest nicki, they costumes are great, I actually own a sewing machine and have done a bit of sewing before, but I still think I would have not had the patience to make those, I made it simple for me, I dug out something from my closet and made the poor dogs wear it.
But you watch out, I am already planning the "flag waving" entry in july hehehehehehehe scared yet????? I went shopping for Jennifers birthday today and saw some things, I imagined Galahad in it and cracked up in the store, people looked funny at me, and Malin said "moooooooom they stare at you" she is a little sensetive the poor thing lol

i haven't even thought about their outfits yet....but the red white and blue is starting to really show up, so im sure i can come up with something.
i LOVED your dogs outfits. poor hera LOL....she was my favorite!
i laugh out loud all the time to myself. my teachers used to get so mad because on the choice days when i decided to go to schooll....i NEVER paid attention. i always relived days or moments in my life, and half the time i broke out into full on snot flying out my nose laughter. other times, i would be writing stories and think of something funny and again break out into belly laughter! my teachers would just stare at me until it was over and then they would ask if they could continue. i think half the people i was friends with were friends with me because they liked how pissed off i could get teachers LOL...they always thought it was soo amusing. i also laugh out loud in the middle of the store, a dinner, the car.....all the time. im a laughy kinda girl...and i dont hide it! so im glad you can openly laugh out loud with me LOL...especial ly about dogs and their outfits for BPO! i do ALL the time! the public of LA thinks im crazy...and that isnt saying much here LOL.
