Okay, they're still way big, so use the scroll bar until I re-size them again.
>:(

Well heck, maybe I just see them wonky. The teeny one is Charlotte. That was about a little over 2 weeks ago, and she already almost Mambo's size. Mambo is the black hooded hairless, and Ruby is the white hairless. Don't they all look so weenie compared to your big squishy boys? :D

Awwww. i love naked (meaning without hair) animals. I have 2 dogs (Cc and the xolo) and i bug darcy to let me have a hl rat, but never in this lifetime, with our cats anyway (they are hunters, that'd be a bad thing). And i want a sphynx so bad.
your ratties are super duper cute <3

Ohhhhhh they are so cute! Have you ever tried giving them frozen baby food?
-
OOOOOOHHHHHHHH HHHHH! They are so CUTE!!! I love ratties! We now have 4.5 boys and 5 girls. Four and a half are hairless. lol
We had to rehome some of our girls since they kept escaping and two gave us some unexpected surprises... I miss them so much, but the dogs would have also loved to snack on them if they caught them out. :-[

Moni I didn't know you kept rats! Cool! Don't you just love the hairless?
Brittney- Nope! I've heard of it and I'm so excited to try it once the weather is nicer and I don' have to try so hard to keep them warm. Do yours like it?
-
Haha don't you love how people with a lot of animals have spare cages/tanks sitting around? Then we just use that as an excuse to get more pets. Then we have even more cages and tanks! It's a never ending circle. :D

We my rats love it! I tried not freezing it once and that was just a mess. Mine like the fruit and vegetable blends the best. Also the ones in the little serving size plastic containers are great. I take the cover off and take off that plastic food quality stuff and then I put some holes and slits in the lid and then put it back on. The rats love it because they can chew open the plastic container to get to the food and it gives them a bit of a challenge. :)
If I got new pets to fill all my empty cages I'd have at least 200. LOL! I've had small animals sence I was a kid and still have all those cages and I've had my rattery for how long now and have gained cages from that. I have 50 empty cage right now. :P And all the cages are huge multi-level cages that can fit about 5-10 animals depending on which animal it is.

OMG! They are gorgeous! I'll post pictures of the new ratties when they come home! I heard back from the breeder and some of the litters I'm interested in are already here ^__^ yay. But maybe I should post current pictures of Lucca first, since he just turned one and is becoming such a big, handsome boy <3
Ditto on the cages -I just wished I had kept some of mine... Now I have to go get one... At least by now I know to get a good one from the beginning so I don't have to be upgrading later on!

My guys favorite game is "Pea Fishing". When you get a container of water and toss some frozen peas in it. They have a blast!!!
Here are some pics that I took of my crew the other day.
First the boys;

Moni! Your rats are super beautiful! They make mine look like little mongrels! I think Despearoux (sp?) is coming home with me. His coloring is so nice! The Pink Eyed White is also super cute! They all are!
ZC- Hairless aren't born furry, all rats are born naked (hence the reptile owners' term "pinkies") and most start growing fur around a week old. But when you breed a rex coated rat to another rex, you get doubles rexes, and they grow a full coat by around 2-3 weeks, then slowly loose it again. (There are other circumstances where a double rex can be produced, I think) At adulthood, double rexes can have varying amounts of fur. My girl Mambo is a DR, but she has very little hair.
Moni, it's funny that you have a hairless named Tembo. My next girl rat is going to named Tempo, to go with Mambo. :D They'll have to be little rat friends. It'd just be too cute... Tembo and Tempo. ;D

Oh and Brittney- I am definitely going to try that! I give my girlies yogurt a couple times a week, and the younger two just go to the middle of the plate I spread it on and sit there, eating a nice little circle around them, while they get completely sticky. ::) :D And who said rats were clean... Haha!
