Nope , well , one time I was telling her not to mess with the pellet stove , but the other three times she was perfectly happy , either sitting with me or playing with her brother . She really is a very easy going child and doesn't get upset very easily . It's super scary when she does it , I hope they can find what's wrong tomorrow and we can get past this and not have to worry anymore !

I will definitely be praying for you, her and for the Drs to pinpoint the problem!  How scary!  Glad you were able to get the Dr to pay attention.  Sounds like they took it seriously once you got through.  Many times the office staff makes initial decisions that should be left to the dr.

Well , we're finally back from Rapid City . Everything went well , it was hard to see Izabelle with that IV in her hand and the little mask on her face , falling asleep . But I have to admit , when they first sedated her so they could give her the anesthesia , it was pretty funny ! She was so loopy and just hilarious  ;D So anyways , won't get the results until next week  :-\ It's going to be a loooooong weekend !

No , not yet . I've been calling the dr's office everyday , today they finally tell me she's out of town for the week so they have no idea where the results are . I asked them if they could call Rapid City and have results sent again , and they lady said " Ooooh sure , I'll do that " and goes to hang up , I said " Uhh , do you want my phone number ?" and she was like " Oh yes , I guess I'll need that , Oh , and what's your sons name again ?" What the heck ? My son ? I've lost all faith in doctors anymore . This is ridiculous !

Is this her regular doctor??  I'd call Rapid City myself and then find a new doctor!!  Well, side note, my friend has a great doctor that she recommended, but went on to say that the front office staff is very inconsiderate and moronic to put it nicely!!

Well Good news finally , another doctor called me and said that the MRI came back negative ! He thinks these are post trauma seizures .... As she's only had two since last Friday . So , if they do continue then he or our regular doctor will refer us to a neurologist and she'll get an EEG ... EKG .... ? Ack ,I'm so confused I don't even remember what it was called . Anyways , another brain scan . So here's to Izzy hopefully being done with these seizures and never having to worry about them again !

That is great news!  (it's an EEG; EKG is for your heart ;))  I'm so glad that you had her checked out so at least now you don't have to worry about that!!

I'm REALLY glad the MRI came back OK!

But an EEG is still a really good idea, just to be certain. I'm surprised they didn't do it at the same time as the MRI, to be honest--it's very simple and compared to an MRI, inexpensive! Basically, what they do is use a watersoluble glue to attach little electrodes onto the skull, and they trace the elecrical activity that's happening in different areas of the brain. It's totally non-invasive and much less stressful than the MRI she's already had.

Keep a really close eye on her, and if you have any sense at all that she's still having any effects at all, insist on the neurology referral and the EEG.

Yes: after my dad working in a hospital for 30 years, plus paying for my college education working as a medical records clerk, I'm totally paranoid about everything to do with doctors and hospitals. Always take the next test, that's whay I say!
