We spent $180 for the blood work allergy tests for Max, another $180 for Cody, $90 each for 3 months worth of serum injections, $90 each month for Jake's recurrent ear infections, etc.. We also spent over $500 at the dermatologist for allergy testing. I finally got sick of spending the money and changed them all over to raw. They all ate chicken meat, bones and organs for 2 weeks. The next week, I added in a little beef for a few meals and found out Max is severely allergic to beef. I added in pork, mackerel, turkey, duck, lamb, goat, and found out that only beef bothered him. I then gave them some of the things they were eating before, as far as biscuits and things of that nature and found out they react to yeast, flax and most all grains. Since February, they have had no ear infections, no chewing or scratching jags and best of all, they are taking no meds, no special shampoos, nothing. I know they all tested allergic to dust mites, mold, fungi and fleas, plus Cody is allergic to palm, cedar, most all grasses, etc. He lays in the grass to eat his turkey necks and pigs feet and doesn't itch or scratch. I have read, that if you take care of resolving food related allergies, their systems will be strong enough to handle the rest on their own. It appears to be a true statement. Good luck with your boy.
