Meisi swimming pics
« on: May 13, 2007, 05:01:26 pm »
Meisi is a great swimmer. She started swimming when she was 5 months old and loved the water ever since. In fact she was showing great interest in water already when she was 3 months old.

Here she is 3 months old playing with the water bowl.

Playing in the water with her best friend Lilli

Swimming in the river (5 months old)
Meisi is the one actually swimming

Swimming in the river #2

Swimming with friends
(every time she saw people in the water
she had to go and rescue them  ;D)

Always in the water
(the little border terrier never went swimming)

Another unrequested rescue attempt
(Meisi is the swimming one)

Always looking for an opportunity to swim

Wonderful pics, thanks for sharing!  Your pup Meisi is absolutely adorable and it looks like she is having a fun time in the water!  Keep on posting pics of your beautiful pup when you get time.

Thank you all for the great comments. Meisi's swimming friend (Lilli) is also a newf. Both are registered here in Finland as Landseers. In Europe, white newfs with black markings are recognized as their own breed. FCI registers them as Landseers. In dog shows here in Finland they are shown separately from newfs. But that's just paper formality. They are still just newfs.

That's interesting how Landseers are registered in Europe.  Both Meisi & Lilli are beautiful and they look like they have so much fun in the water.  I was just talking to my husband today about maybe adding a Landseer to our family some day.  We live near water, so I'm sure one would be happy here and we'd love to add a Landseer to our Golden & Great Pyrenees'.  Please keep the pics coming, I love to see them.

Meisi looks like she's having the greatest time. We've never swam with our Newf. She's only swam by herself so far and loves fetching buoys. She did swim with my sisters in the swimming pool once (big mistake, there was Newf hair in every square inch of that pool when she was done) and desperately tried to swim them to the end of the pool.
