well hello my name is Kim and I am currently owned by 2 mastiffs and 1 amazon Parrot. I just moved back to Ohio, from Florida (stupid economy. And am waiting to get my youngest boy back, he was born and raised in Florida and since the weather here in Ohio is freezing we are waiting till late February to get him back (we don't want to risk respiratory illness or back tracking his house training). He is currently in the best hands possible, his breeders. My other Boy was from Ohio to begin with and we were only in Florida 1 yr so coming back home was nothing for him. I love to chat about dogs especially Mastiffs. Thanks and nice to meet you.
Edited : to add We recently took in my broth-in-laws 10 yr old epileptic Chihuahua named Zoomer.

My name is Lori and I live in Ohio too! I live in Waynesville just north of Cincy and south of Dayton. Where are you?
My babe is TInk a komondor/black lab mix. Below is her updated photo. She just turned a year old Christmas Eve.
Welcome!

Welcome to the board! I've got two mastiff mix pups (Bullmastiff & Neapolitan Mastiff X). I can’t imagine having to leave one of them behind! That must be soooooooooooo hard (even if you know he’s in good hands).
Please post pics of your dogs when you get the chance. We love pics!

lori, I am located between cleveland and akron. Your girl is awesome looking, what a mix.
Yes it is really hard to leave him, but he will be back soon, and I would rather be sad then risk his health. He is going to be so much bigger, i'm scared he won't remember me it will be 3 months when i get him back. His breeder is awesome and he is hanging out with his sister and parents. She told me he is doing great but she may have no hair by the time i get him back, i guess him and his sister are a real handful together.
And thanks for the welcome.

Hello and welcome!
I moved a couple of years ago from Ca to Mn and then Il so i feel your pain.........l ol. Luckily we first moved in the spring so 3 of mine used to the warmer temps could get used to the change gradually. My oldest is used to midwest weather.
My name is Chris, and my crew consists of Keiko, my 10 yr old husky/shep mix, Gunther, my 4 yr old great dane and Nigel and Posey, my 3 yr old rat terrier. And a slew of other critters as well.........l ol.

LOL! This sounds a lot like my pups. They are both always covered in little scabs (they drag each other around, mouth locked onto loose skin). They don't seem to hurt each other, but man do they play rough. And when they meet up with their sister Tallulah (owned by best friend and her husband) it's like monster fest 2009!

Yeah, I swear mine are doing their best imitation of a T-Rex; Mouth open and bearing down on the other's spine. They don't seem to mind at all, but some dog owners at the park can get a little freaked out . . .

Mistake number 1 ...never ask me for pics..careful what you wish for...lol
My boy Beau, he is my heart dog and my velcro dog, truly my best friend.

As most people on the board know I desperately want a mastiff but hubby won't go for it : ( So I enjoy at all of your pictures. Your pups are truly adorable!!
Enjoy BPO

My hubby said no too but then my one brother-in-law wanted a mastiff type dog to adopt, so i found one looking for a home and they brought him to my house (fenced yard) for introductions, after that my husband was in love, and shortly after we adopted Beau. If it's the size tell him out of any dog i have ever had in the home he is the only one i can lose, he is so quiet and will lay under tables or in a corner. They are the best breed (completely un-biased of me...of course). retrievers are cool though, i just can't do hyper especially now that i am used to comatose.
