I think that the questions were okay for the breeder to ask...I don't think that the employer one though is something that she needs to have.  We will be breeding our wolfhound this winter(hopefully, if her health checks are good) and I have a list that is fairly similar to that of that breeders.  A breeder needs to know almost everything about the new potential owners.  She is putting so much trust in what you tell her about yourselves.  If she has never met you that is all that she has is the answers that you give her.  Likely she has had problems in the past with people that have not met her expectations.  Newfs are giants and come with a giant responsibility .  Something not to take lightly.  I think that you are on the right path, but if you are not comfortable with her, move on....there are great breeders out there and you can build wonderful friendships with them.  We have been so lucky with our breeders, managed to find three great couples and have awesome friendships with them as well.
If you would like you could PM me and I could try to find you a reputable breeder in your area.  I know a lot of people that have been breeding for quite some time and maybe they could help too.  Maybe you want to come to Canada to check out the newfs here!!!

We feed all 5 of our dogs Wellness, super4 chicken.  They are doing great on it.  My newf has food issues and allergic to egg so this is great for her, no egg. 
It is in Canada and the US.

The puppy beside Talon is Desa's Sister, Dar'ya ...Ivor is Desa's Dad and Imogen, the mom, is in the pic too

yip, all Borzoi. The dog on the couch to my son's left is Ivor, the #1 Borzoi in Canada right now.
I agree that they are beautiful and elegant. Coming from the royalty of Russia, they have to live up to it  ;D

the dogs are usually quite good......the 3rd day Desa was being a goof and stole Talon's Tie in the ring (good thing it was a clip on) they had a tug of war in the ring....the people watching, enjoyed it. The next day Talon did not wear a tie and people were heard to be asking " what will the borzoi do today" The class they are in is non-competitive....just for fun and they had lots of it

I love facebook, when I get the time.....a great way to meet people, and also get in touch with people you already know or knew, I have gotten in touch with almost all the kids I graduated high school with.

The eyes in the second picture say maybe, "Don't piss me off or I will become the evil supercat!"  Too funny though, I did a lot worse to our cats growing up, I used to dress my cat up in doll clothes, pants and all.  So a little cape isn't to torturous....
